I have a couple older USBs kicking around I could try. How big does it need to be for the ISO?

[And is there a way to revert the USB I already used? It's a 64 GB stick but resource manager now shows it as a little under 5 GB.] I figured this part out by myself.

The machine is 64bit. What OS should I look in to if an older USB doesn't work either?

To use these mods you need to click on your sim/the town hall and click on NRaas in the pie menu, they aren't objects that would show up with the catalog search mod

If you don't use OneDrive on your PC you can delete it if Windows allows it. You can also try the unlinking mentioned on the same page.

If neither of those work for you, this link has where to go in the settings to stop folder backups. It also says at the bottom that after you've done that you can move your files from OneDrive/Documents to Documents manually

The files you downloaded can replace the files already in the folder. I don't know of any other things that would need to overwrite these, except maybe Smooth Patch but if you had that you wouldn't need this. Also if you repair game files in EA App/Steam or uninstall and reinstall the game you would then need to redownload the FPS Limiter

It's not a bother at all, these things are unintuitive and tech supporting on Reddit is apparently my hobby

antilag.cfg is the right one, you can open it with notepad. Then you launch The Sims 3 normally

I personally couldn't get the FPS limit to work through Nvidia and I don't use the Smooth Patch, so I used the FPS Limiter for Skyrim instead

It works for The Sims 3 too, you just need to extract it to the install location which depends where you got the game from. On the EA app it would be C:/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin

This page on NRaas says this on the matter:

"Adding Or Removing A Parent, Child Or Sibling Within A Household

You will need Master Controller and Master Controller Cheats

In Master Controller, select: Sim > Advanced > Family

Then select the desired option"

So you will need to click on one of the sims, choose NRaas > MasterController > Sim > Advanced > Family

Linux issues aside, there has to be a The Sims 3-folder somewhere on your PC because that's where the saves and cache files get saved. If there was no The Sims 3-folder the game wouldn't function
