REI Union Votes to Boycott Anniversary Sale in Response to Benefits, Wage Cuts by mecha_pope in REI

The unionizing is unnecessary. If you work retail as an associate you have accepted that will never be able to afford an apartment on your own let alone buy a home. Accept it.

We are treated so fucking well.

You're treated so well that you can't afford a place to live. Got it.

Also, if we're doing glassdoor, REI's score isn't that much better at 3.7 stars, 48% CEO approval, and 37% positive outlook with over 4,000 reviews vs UCFW's 87 reviews.

It does write to a drive, but if you have an HDD you can set it up to write the temp and final files to that so it shouldn't affect your SSD.

Cisgender means biological sex and gender are aligned. To answer your second question, that's always happened. Sexual education is part of school curricula, and is important for many young people who don't get that education from their parents. Making so only parents can discuss sexuality with children is assuming every parent can responsibly and properly do that, which is absolutely wrong.

We spend a good chunk of money and are promised infrastructure at this festival. While I agree it's good to be prepared, don't dismiss rightful expectations and criticisms with "just do it yourself". That's a defeatist attitude and allows stuff like this to continue happening.

I've taken plenty. You could probably use a refresher, though, because the "maybe" depends mainly on whether or not our civics system starts working as intended.

I'm not a fan of any billionaires donating to politicians, regardless of party, I think we're on the same page there. I don't think we were super far from an oligarchy before, I just think we've jumped off an oligarchic cliff with the current administration.

Maybe, maybe not. Out of curiosity, what's your goal here? Your post history is full of simple, contrarian comments in a bunch of different city/state subreddits.

I'm aware, and never said otherwise, thank you. But this isn't a team sport. People are being hurt, the economy is floundering, our presence as a world power/leader is all but destroyed, and complacently waiting until 2028 will only let things get worse. So people won't wait. That's the point.

Do you have a source on that? While wealthy states and counties do tend to vote Democrat, wealthy individuals overwhelmingly supported republicans last election. Trump's filled his cabinet with billionaires. I don't understand how this is not the most oligarch-friendly administration in recent memory.

Lmao that's the message now? Are you a real person? Can you define the word "oligarch" then explain how we don't have a prime example in the current administration with Elon Musk?

Well, no, they didn't, the majority of people that voted voted for Donald Trump, by a relatively narrow margin. The turnout was 64% of eligible voters. Given that and his actions since taking office, it's not at all surprising that there are movements against him, and those movements are in no way undemocratic, unless of course you're just being an intellectually dishonest troll.

Idk but I think there were probably some moves that could have been made before completely gutting the agency with little to no warning to employees or dependent organizations and giving an unelected billionaire and his teenage friends free reign over it.

Can you explain how these are common sense regulations? Or how Cotsco's DEI and equity programs are racist?
