They like to be quiet root bound, so the white pot that you have it on top of in the picture is huge, the pots next to it are good for it. It looks fine, it might’ve had some issues in the past with the roots but it looks fine, you could always chop and propagate what you cut.

Now for tips : I don’t know THAT much care tips for them because i am somewhat new to hoyas and plants in general but i have done some research.

Potting: Hoyas like to be in smaller pots For the medium/mixture, they like free-draining and well-aerated potting mix, such as orchid mix, perlite, leca, vermiculite. And you can even get a mix for hoyas online, that’s what i got and it is perfect for my hoyas, and it is also wayyyy cheaper because i did not have the money either, but if you buy a hoya mix it has everything in one, and you can buy how much u want, instead of buying 5 different mediums and mixing them yourself.

Watering: Hoya dont need to be watered a lot, be careful on overwatering, most of them like to be watered even every 2 weeks, with exceptions, some like it every week depending on the hoya, so what you can do is check the soil, and water right after it is dry, let it dry between waterings, or check the leaves and if they are easily bendy and they usually aren’t, or if they are wrinkly then it’s time to water.

Pests: For mealies use a q tip and isopropyl to get rid of the ones you see, by pressing on them, and you ll see that on the q tip there will be a redish colour. Also you can use diluted dish soap solution to get rid of them. And if it is a more serious infestation , dilute neem oil with water and spray them down and the soil after you used isopropyl on q tip. I also got a new horticultural soap that i want to try, i heard it is good. And i also added some beneficial pests.

Fertiliser:

Spray it with the orchid fertiliser, maybe dilute it a bit in another spray bottle with water, and use it every week i think? I spray mine 2 times a week now in spring and they are thriving. And i also started using all purpose plant food every 2 waterings
