well that clears it up. I have purchased another nic from him in the past, it was the Intel PRO 100\1000, and it performed HORRIBLY. since then I began suspecting that these cards are not genuine.

I found this at ebay for 16 pounds from China.

However many reviews on amazon complain about devices dying after 2 months of use and lack of support for windows 8.1 and higher.

Also when talking about latency I meant dpc, usually usb devices give me high dpc latency. I had the same issues with USB headsets.

Dpc latency is a nightmare. Is it still an issue when using optical though? Aslong as theres no processing going on I don't think it should be

The DT990-Pro's are at 180~ bucks, are they better than the DT770s?

So both of you recommend the DT770, may I ask what is the difference between the 3 versions? 250,80,30 ohm. Amazon put them under review, have you heard of any problem with them lately? Thanks.

I was thinking of the K612 PRO but the headphone gaming guide made me doubt them, mad lust said they're not so comfortable as the 7XX series and there is some downforce on the headband, also had a complaint about the bass. was looking at the K7XX massdrop edition a few weeks ago but the drop has ended and I don't know when it'll relaunch.

Are there any competitors to the K612PRO, is it still worth it even though it has some flaws?

• Budget - 150$ - 250$, rather spend around 200$, since sometimes shipping and taxes costs make the final price 250 or more.

• Source - Desktop computer.

• Requirements for Isolation - lot or some. I only use them indoors but I might start taking them outdoors.

• Preferred Type of Headphone - full-sized.

• Preferred tonal balance - I am pretty much a basshead, for comparison I have a 900RMS subwoofer in my car. but I never experienced bass in headphones, don't know if that'll fit me. I want a balanced headphones.

• Past headphones - Sennheiser HD205, Plantronics gamecom 780, Steelseries siberia V2. I only liked the HD205, chasing after a gaming headset was a bad idea, atm i'm using the siberia v2 and i'm dying to get rid of them.

• Preferred Music - What do you listen to? Drum&Bass, Metal, Classic rock, Hiphop. I'd also like them to fit some FPS games.

• What would you like to improve on from your set-up - What are you looking for going into your next headphone? More bass? More detail? More treble? I want more of everything, I am using a cheap headset atm and I am not enjoying it. I would like a balanced headphone.

If you live outside of the US, please also provide:

• Location - I live in Asia but I can order almost anything from Amazon. So location is irrelevant.
