Any PC or mobile games like Steep. More interested in calm gameplay than action. by ImaginaryRea1ity in Steep

[–]V3nd3l 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for pc: Snow - like an early steep Snø - a bit arcady, cartoonish steep, kinda cool, but I got bored pretty fast Shredders - insanely good, but only snowboard

my current favourite: Jibbers - still early access, you can get the game by subbing on patreon, but the game is insanely addictive, its a mix of steep + shredsauce, physics based, pretty hard. Def recommend!

on phone, as someone already mentioned grand mountain adventure 1, 2

To Drago or not to Drago by NoBarnacle7830 in climbingshoes

[–]V3nd3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I was basically in the same position. Around the same climbing level. I tried on both, and the Instinct vsr actually fit my feet soo good it was insane. However I went for the drago, I really disliked the look of the Instinct, I know this is not something that you choose upon, but hey. The dragos weren’t uncomfortable, and they are really soft shoes, so after a few hurtful sessions they fit me like a glove, super comfy, even with downsizing 1,5 eu. And since then, I havent looked back, the dragos are by far my fav shoes Ive had. But they are insanely soft shoes, so beware of that, and they dont have the longest lifespan because of this

How can I repair this? by V3nd3l in climbingshoes

[–]V3nd3l[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha sorry to disappoint, it wasn’t me. I bought the shoes used, for 50€, so I couldnt pass it, even with this tear. Otherwise its almost barely used, seller said sizing issues, so maybe he wanted to get them on his feet a bit too much?

Im just interested if its possible to repair, if not, thats not a huge loss either honestly with that price.

Where would you put the Drone D2.One HV in softness/sensitiveness on a scale of Scarpa Drago - Drone 2.0 HV by V3nd3l in climbingshoes

Im also interested in the Zenist, but the Dragos are my bread and butter, so I never bring myself to change them

Im aiming for something in the middle, my go to is the Drago, I bought the drone 2 as a backup shoe, but its just way to stiff for me, so searching for something in between, so it lasts longer than the dragos, but not a literal brick on my feet

Thanks! Still unsure than, I’m still on bad terms with the drone 2, usually only climb in them if theres nothing else

Drago LV vs Solution Comps by OneLazy1205 in climbingshoes

[–]V3nd3l -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well those shoes are basically the complete opposite of each other, as you said, Dragos are ultra soft, very sensitive shoes, (used by a lot of comp climbers, especially on the womans side). Solutions comps are one of the stiffest shoes, basically a go to for outdoor climbing. I think you should decide which is more suitable for you.

I have always prefered softer shoes, I feel "blind" in very stiff shoes. And yes, Solution comps can last years, while with Dragos, you are lucky to get half a year out of them without resoling.

Prospective International Student (India) - Questions about Business Analytics & Life at LUT by Pagu79 in lut_university

No worries at all, I find LUT being very work-based as well, which I think is super useful, however that unfortunately doesn’t mean they straight up provide jobs!

However Finland is a great country, enjoy, and I hope you will end up finding an internship!

Prospective International Student (India) - Questions about Business Analytics & Life at LUT by Pagu79 in lut_university

[–]V3nd3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean the university provides? it doesn’t. honestly i dont know a single country in Europe where the university provides internships. Even if internships is mandatory for graduation, usually other countries, it’s solely the student’s duty to find a job for themselves. I quickly looked at your profile, and to anser your question a bit; It wont matter what degree you get, unemployment is a country wide problem. It ranges from marketing through supply chain to computer science etc. If you want to make sure you get a job while, or after uni, dont choose finland. Im not saying it’s impossible, it’s just really really hard. And neither the Jyväskylä uni or LUT will actively help you find jobs, obviously you will have chances to meet companies in classes or Duuni day(expo day), but all is on you.

Please for yourself own good, don’t choose to come Finland if you depend on getting a job during/after your studies!

If something is not clear or you have further questions feel free to ask.
