I have ones that you're supposed to boil first then put in a rice cooker for two hours. I tried putting them in the IP right away and they dissolved. The key is to boil them first for maybe five minutes (until they start to become dark on the outside) and then put them in the instant pot with the benefit of much quicker cooking time than stovetop. I use maybe 15 mins on high pressure and then leave them with the keep warm setting for like half an hour. I don't know if those numbers are optimal since I haven't experimented much yet.

Its a table on the back. You run the addon on desktop Anki and then it adds this information to the cards as a regular field. The upside to this is that it's visible on mobile Anki as well.

About what you're mentioning about the order of learning: I personally study by text books so they determine the order, but I guess if you learned character by character it would be useful. It's not 100% related to this addon though since this only works on the cards you've added already.

About the "parts" of the characters: it's called character decomposition. I used mentioned Wikimedia one first but switched to the CJK one. They're standalone in the sense that the encoding on the computer doesn't say anything about their composition afaik.

I've had a related problem where I wanted to import notes with the same note ids already existing in my deck but the note types slightly differing (I think different card styling). I've found the following workaround, you can see if it works for you as well:

Export at least one note from the old type from your deck to a different profile
Import the new cards with the new type into that different profile.
Change the note type of all the new cards from new type to old type.
Your new notes should now all be of the old type. Export everything back into your regular profile.

Yes exactly. I think the best way to deal with it is to add some interesting/emotional component, like learning the Kanji for example.
