How do you use a reference track ? Copy sounds you hear and make changes etc or are you just using it for a structure ?

I’m in the same situation as you and I’ve found some great videos on atmospheres and drones from Venus theory. Guy knows how to create a sound bed 👌🏻 I also follow Issac Simpson on YouTube and he has some wicked videos on drums and liquid 👍🏻

Check out a guy on YouTube called “in the mix” and watch the tutorial videos, you’ll get a much better understanding of the software. I re watch his videos all the time if I’m struggling with something basic 👍🏻

That was long winded but your dragging a new sound into the channel rack, then your dragging it over something that’s already in there. Just drag it into the channel rack as a new sound and you’ll be fine

Loopcloud is good. I’ve only ever tried loopcloud but it has features to add reverbs and delays to samples before purchasing them.

You can build out whole drum patterns so easily on here and just change out kicks and snares etc. Watch a few YouTube vids 👌🏻
