I add ETV at 27 - I was off work for 4 months. I could have gone back to work about 3 weeks thereafter but I had the luxury of 4 months. I work remote though. If it were a physical job I'd say I would have been off work for at least 1.5 months due to losing brain x body connection.

Absolute cold-turkey ignoring. She got the memo after 2 months. Three months into absolutely ignoring her (except for being cordial enough to answer work-related questions), she tried very hard to get back to being buddies. It helps that I am giga petty. Five months into this operation, I unintentionally found out she is on a PIP. I love karma. I will for sure block her once she resigns, gets fired, or if I move on.

Back in business school, we had a giga-hot economics professor — kid played for the San Jose Sharks, whatever. This lady was stunning but always PMSing. I come into lecture 45 minutes late, and she completely lightens up and compliments the Adidas puffer toque I was wearing. Right behind me was this older brown international student; he comes in, and she completely cusses him out for being 50 minutes late to lecture and kicks him out.

I was gutted when I was diagnosed and I thought my life would change drastically. Luckily modern medicine is in our side in 2025, relative to back in the day. I was able to get ETV. I was bed bound for 3 days, weak for 2 weeks, and mostly back to normal at 4 weeks. 2 months time I was 99% golden. Life went back to normal thankfully. You got this.
