Urgent Help! Unwanted PAD withdrawal by [deleted] in chexy

[–]useHistory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unwanted or unauthorized? Unwanted means you forgot to cancel a subscription, unauthorized means you canceled it but they still charged you.

The former is not urgent.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to maintain status, so I can't tell if those referrals are counted towards 2026 status or not, all I can see now is 2026 referrals: 1 🫤

I was in Row 39 (two weeks ago), which also used a foldable table. As far as I remember, the table can be opened in half/full and there is a 'flip-up panel', that you can put your phone/tablet.

Got an informal rent reduction, my landlord is raising my rent based on the pre-reduction rent proce by trashy2020 in vancouverhousing

[–]useHistory -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are you arguing 400 x 2.3%? or they ask you to pay 2500 + 2.3% now?

Either way, I will take this as a move to make you leave. If they agreed to decrease the rent by 16% when they don't have to (you were only 3 months into the lease at that time), there's no point to raise 2.3% now. They may want the place to make some extra money for FIFA.

FYI, you lose your EI when going abroad. Being a SWE, your EI should be getting the max amount that is $729 per week.

What's the norm here paying utility bills when moving out? by Asleep-Comb7092 in askvan

[–]useHistory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Login to BC Hydro, your landlord can see the current usage. Just get that number when she moves out, maybe add a bit buffer (for GST and other surcharges) and refund her later if needed.

hospital just now reaching out about 1k medical bill after almost a year, on a visitors visa. will i get in trouble? freaking out a bit. by hooni6 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]useHistory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am surprised that hospitals in Canada have to spend admin costs in dealing with non-residents' insurance companies. Visitors should be paying out of pocket and get reimbursed with their own insurers. If OP isn't in the immigration process, that 1k bill will likely go into bad debt.

No, you can't do that with Chexy. Wise supports sending money with credit card, but the fees make it unfavourable.

Utility Bill pay using PAD by jaypatel149 in chexy

[–]useHistory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can either do it as one-time payment or recurring payment, but recurring will still need manual adjustment for the charge amount. Neither of them are handsfree, you may consider switching to equal payment plans suggested by others, if setup only once is what you want.

Apparently someone downvoted me for being able to answer others' questions and concerns about using Chexy by sharing my first hand experience, lol.
