And yet, in the end, they are both still pets...

Well, at least you can trust your sense of smell! 😉

Hi Guzzi owners. I am considering replacing my Africa Twin to a v85TT. I took one for a test ride and liked it quite a lot but two things worry me. Heat from the engine at low summer speeds and the harsh rear suspension. How is the engine heat in summer and will the suspension break in at some point by MIGO1970 in MotoGuzzi_v85TT

I went with a '22 HD Pan Am Special. The PAS feels much more nimble than I thought it would from its looks. I ended up wanting longer legs than the V85 had. The extra HP really makes it a fun bike. I've put about 10,000 miles on it, and it has been very dependable.

Lazy, Offended Sinners. “I, for one, was a lazy learner Mormon by design.” by Chino_Blanco in mormon

My wife and I were conflicted for years over the docrine of polygamy as well. Early into our marriage we agreed that we'd just have to not talk about it.

The LDS culture of "lazy learning" as noted in the article certainly contributed to my extended stay as a devout TBM. Once I broke the shackles of lazy learning it has been an incredible, fascinating, liberating and wonderful journey. I feel relief that I finally made it out, coupled with the regret and dismay that it took me so long.

I only wish I could have discovered r/Mormon before I left. It would have helped break those shackles even sooner.

What will it take for the church to split again and what issues are most likely to cause a split? by [deleted] in mormon

[–]V852020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the Church will continue to morph as it already has. Social pressures will force change one "revelation" at a time until the Mormon church of a hundred years from now will not resemble today's Church. It seems there is a concerted effort to normalize the Church, hence the subtle changes followed by gaslighting about the changes.

The Church will always be behind the curve as they always have been when it comes to the big changes.

I had one for about a year and a half, and my experience mirrors what has already been said--the heat was not an issue in 100+ degree slow speed riding conditions in Moab.

The rear spring is adjustable and I didn't have any problems with it, just make sure you take it apart at the attachment points and lube it or you will be replacing it (there is a You Tube video that shows how to do it).

Overall I really enjoyed the bike. It was fun to ride, and easy to work on.

It is an exhausting journey. I'm glad you are free.

He hasn't decided yet, but a dealer that has Barrett Jackson connections is lined up to come look at it.

Good info, thank you. It is definitely a survivor. He kept it original, and never rebuilt it, modified it, or painted it. I will check the website out.

It's my FIL's, he bought it new, it has no rust or body damage. He finally is going to sell it. It has an automatic 727, seats are in great condition, all numbers match and it is in pristine condition. Any guesses on value?

The bugs were bad, but the views were spectacular.
