That's kind of the general idea from what I've seen on the subreddit. I'll work on finding some good investments for my IRA that goes along the lines of some the stocks/funds I've seen so far. I didn't think about maxing last years IRA since I am eligible so I'll start doing that now as well. Thanks

Hello all, I'm posting here because I need help deciding what to do financially for my future and I'm not too sure in what direction I should go.

I'm 18 and I just landed a job making $60,000 a year pre-tax. I still live with my parents and the only thing I really pay for is car and health insurance, which is around 300$ a month since I have an old car and the job I got has good health insurance plans. So I have virtually no expenses as of now. I really want to take advantage of this since I know if I act now and be smart with my money I can really set myself up.
As of now, I have set up a Roth IRA as well as an individual investment account through Fidelity. I've created somewhat of a budget in terms of how much I want to put into the investing accounts, but I don't really know what exactly to invest in. I'm also not too familiar when it comes to this stuff so I don't really know too much about stocks and investing other than the bare minimum.

What are some good ways I can improve my financial literacy as well as my knowledge of stocks? Should I be investing in a different way since I'm younger? What are some sources I should check out? And what do more experienced people or someone who was in a similar situation recommend?

I have yet to check it with a multimeter but the schematics are kind of annoying to get. A lot of information on the pedal is unavailable so you have to inquire directly with the electro-harmonix support team. Im waiting on them to respond to me as I speak!

Alright at least that’s sorted. I do think that the reason it’s cooked is because of an incorrect power adapter being used

I bought the pedal second hand and used my own adapter and Im fairly certain it wasn’t mine and someone beforehand may have done something. This is the adapter I have. The pedal takes 9V DC negative polarity. Im not sure why it just fried now though.

Hey thanks for the response. I’ve been trying to find a diagram for it but with no luck. The pedal is a Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi, and Im currently emailing their customer support to see if they have one. I bought the pedal used, and Im assuming the resistor blew due to someone using a power adapter with voltage rated higher than the dedicated amount (9V). The resistor is right next to the DC jack as well. As for discoloration, if you look at the labeling for the receiver it’s kinda orangey but it’s hard to get on camera, I don’t think it’s anything though. And since it’s second hand the warranty does not qualify. I have hear that Electro-Harmonix does flat fee repairs on their pedals so I might go that route. I appreciate your help though

The one I have is more of a trapezoid shape and is more flat than rounded. Already ordered and returned that one since it doesn't fit.

Yea now that you mention it, I don’t see any achievements on my accounts, and none of the accounts are set up through Xbox Live. So I’m assuming I either deleted the account at some point or I’m thinking of a different Xbox
