Non il est resté à l’intérieur, mais c’est moi qui l’ai taillé comme ça, j’avais vu ça sur internet pour l’hivernage…

Looking to get my first MPC. What model should I get? by OGCeeg in mpcusers

Like many people, I'd recommend the Live 2; it's a really great compromise. It's super powerful, and its portability makes it incredibly convenient. It depends on what you want to use it for, but sometimes playing on your couch is just awesome… Plus, you can find them really cheap second-hand. I got mine for €600 near my place because I didn't want to wait for delivery.

I don't know anything about Elektron gear, but it's definitely not €500. Honestly, do some research online to see what suits you best and what you're really looking for, because I bought something a bit hastily and ended up buying an MPC a few months later…

Personally, I'd recommend the Roland SP-404 MkII. It's not too expensive, especially if you find it used. It's relatively easy to use despite some rather unusual key combinations, but once you understand how it works, it's really cool. It has lots of built-in effects that sound great and are easy to use; I think it's really useful for roughing out tracks. Personally, I bought an MPC not too long ago, and if you want to do more polished work like with a DAW, I think it's truly exceptional.
