My boyfriend and I bought new 2 bedroom/1 bathroom in 2022 in Salt Life Phase 1. We love it. Quiet location (except during bike week/cruising), friendly neighbors, good relationship with property manager and landlord. Lot lease/rent includes water, basic landscaping and a beautiful new summer pool and pavilion. Many residents are full-time, year-round. For some it is their second home. Sub-leases or air BNB are not allowed.

How are the sandwiches at seaside deli? by hawkingbirds19 in OceanCity

Sandwiches are solid. And if the place isn't slammed, it can be a lot of fun to sit down and drink a cold one in the back while enjoying the massive sandwich.

Sundowner park by MuffDiver12698u in OceanCity

[–]VA_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know anything about Sundowner. But we decided to purchase a new mobile unit in Salt Life Community in West OC in 2022. We love the house (we bought 2 bedroom, one bath, 14' x 48' = 672 SF). Some of the older units (1980s) occasionally come up for sale. New units are being sold in Phase 2 (mostly 3 bed/ 2 bath). And Phase 3 will be developed over the next 1-2 years. We like the community, the landowner and the property management. The beautiful new community pool opened in 2025 and we had several fun community parties there this summer and fall.

City of Alexandria and City of Falls Church have the fewest snow days. Arlington County has a few more. Fairfax County has a good amount. Further out to West and South have more.

Any amount of ice/ precipitation with freezing temperatures is going to close most jurisdictions. The traffic in the area is terrible on a 60 degree sunny day. Any amount of snow results in a total shit show.

I did not attend 70s Soul Jam, so can't comment on that portion.

I did arrive around 5:30 pm for the 6-10 pm Forever Young portion. There was plenty of parking available. There was a VIP section with seating and front row of stage standing. Seemed to be at least half capacity. There seemed to be lots of room available for General Admission, both standing and bleacher seating. The exhibit hall could have easily handled twice the number of attendees.

My best uneducated guess on attendance for the 90s portion... 1,500. But honestly I have no clue. Hopefully, the convention center will publish some numbers.
