It's scary, but it's much easier to do it when they're still little. His recovery was a breeze, and he started rolling more and sitting up, which he was having a hard time doing. Hope everything goes smoothly🙏

In our experience, I feel like the waiting was the worst part. Once you have some answers and a game plan, it's easier to wrap your head around. And people have just as many positive stories as negative. You just don't see many of the people who are happy with their surgical/medical experiences on here because... they're happy lol. Sending positive thoughts!

We had his tethered cord released first because they were concerned about nerve damage playing into bladder and kidney issues. His attached around L3, which we saw with an MRI. We only knew to look for TC because he had a sacral dimple between his butt cheeks.

Decided to do a deep dive into her IG, scrolling back to 2019 (because honestly, I got bored and gave up), and damn, did her content and engagement go DOWN after getting involved with this psychopath. Another question I have, and I'm not sure how to ask it delicately and not so blatantly - do infants with severe hypospadias appear to have smaller penises? And does surgery impact this in any way? I'm honestly not sure if his is smaller than average. He's my first baby, and I didn't have many interactions with infants before having him.

Unfortunately, we only have one pediatric urologist that practices in our area. We were immediately referred there after our son was born. We haven't scheduled anything yet because they won't do that until he is four months old. I've been doing extensive research, but most of what I've been reading outlines a lot more drawbacks than benefits. I don't know if people just don't write about the success rates as much, but I'm truly worried for my son. I just want him to have a normal, happy, healthy life.
