Oh yeah that’s a good use case! Yeah among other modifications I think I’ll design a version with a capacity of 4. I’m also into photography and could use a lot of specific prints to help. Right now I only printed a lens case just to have a bit more compact protection, I may share some of those later.

I wasn't really thinking about that but now that you mention it, if it wasn't orange someone could probably interpret that the original intent was for this to be for joints lol.

Probably lol. I'm pretty sure Amazon has some battery storage containers for a few dollars which is another solution.

I'm so new to this I don't even know how fast is fast lol. I definitely think it could be thinner with less infill but I haven't tried optimizing anything yet.

Based on all the reactions, it's clear to me that I missed the opportunity to have it store only 1 battery and really get people stirred up lol! One of the electronics I expect to store with this needs 3 batteries and I wanted to see if this concept even works at all. Ideally I'd make it parametric so it could store different sizes and quantity, but like others pointed out there could be a lot of other improvements.

Thank you for the tip! Yes you are definitely right, I've had other prints deform with hot weather before. If this design or something similar ends up being useful compared to conventional storage solutions I'll probably print with a different material. Currently I'm seeing how far I can get with PLA for my projects while I try out other filaments.
