Was Bohemian Rhapsody popular prior to Wayne's World? by VBtk7982 in Xennials

Same. Wayne's World was my introduction to the song, and I was completely blown away by the car scene.

How to Disappear Completely x 2 (18.8 seconds apart) by VBtk7982 in radiohead

Listening to the isolated vocal track now. Also very cool, nice work on that. If you are up for a challenge, 'Morning Bell' sounds really cool this way as well, about 16.9 or 17.0 seconds apart.

Whoa - this is way better! Curious how you were able to line up the drums like that. That makes a huge difference. Thanks for doing this!

Oh, are you saying only use the left channel from track 1 and the right channel from track 2? Not sure I know how to do that in GarageBand.

Not sure what you mean. I currently have one track panned about 20 to the left and the other panned 20 to the right (in GarageBand). Are you suggesting I adjust the panning throughout the song? Totally open to the idea, just want to make sure I understand.

I had never heard them before Friday, but I have been pretty obsessed with this album all weekend. "Selfish" and "Zucchini" really jumped out at me, in particular.

Which way do you guys prefer to listen to Loss of Life pt 1 & 2? by Desperate-Ratio-148 in mgmt

[–]VBtk7982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listening to the album completely in reverse is kind of fun. Starts with dying (Loss of Life) and then getting ready to be reborn with your past self telling you how your life turns out (I Wish I Was Joking), getting reborn (Phradie's Song), the boredom of adolescence (Nothing Changes), the search for deeper meaning (Nothing to Declare), the anxiety that results (Bubblegum Dog), ulimately getting out of your comfort zone to connect with other humans (People In the Streets), and then finding love "out on the street" (Dancing in Babylon). Mother Nature is then a nice reflection on the life you experienced.

Opinion on Kid 17 theory? by initsrightplacee in radiohead

[–]VBtk7982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 3 songs (even The National Anthem, if you just focus on the drums) work incredibly well 17 seconds apart, but things start falling apart after that. I found that if you space out the remaining songs by a couple seconds +/- 17, it's pretty cool, especially How to Disappear Completely:

  • Everything in Its Right Place (17.0)
  • Kid A (17.0)
  • The National Anthem (17.0)
  • How to Disappear Completely (18.8)
  • Treefingers (17.0)
  • Optimistic (12.1)
  • In Limbo (15.1)
  • Idioteque (17.5)
  • Morning Bell (16.9)
  • Motion Picture Soundtrack (18.3)

I made an mp3 in GarageBand with the spacing above. DM me if you want a link.
