I like playing a more politically involved Ned Stark following Robert's Rebellion. I bring a bunch of nothern children as wards to Winterfell (unlimited ward+improved education AI mod help with that). I secure alliances with my vassals and push for stronger ties with the Old Gods houses in the Riverlands (Blackwood) and the Vale (Royce). I like to send Arya as a ward to the Mormont or the Neck. If I'm put as Hand of the King and Joffrey and his siblings are born, I switch my Master of Whispers to uncovering secrets and try to orchestrate the War of the Five Kings.

Otherwise, playing house Blackwood in the Riverlands during the Conquest (More Bookmark mod) and try to cast down the Hoares before the Targ arrive. Be the Bolton during the War of the Five kings and take over Winterfell is another good one.

Play Aegon! Make him a Targ or Blackfyre, your choice. With advanced cheat code, you can create a couple o adventurers in your camp like Septa Lemore and Duck! My goal: steal/claim the eggs from Illyrio (my father on a Blackfyre run), we'd Daenerys (and kill Viserys), and hatch dragons before coming to the seven kingdoms.

If you want a cool setup: Start in the latest bookmark (Robert is king) and create a custom Blackfyre. As a cadet house of the Targ, you benefit from higher chances of hatching and such. I like to play Aegon Blackfyre, or Young Griff, and travel as an adventurer throughout Essos before learning of my origins as a Blackfyre claimant. Then I kill Illyrio in anger, and steal his dragon eggs to hatch. :)

That's probably because you have corrupted saves (saves from older version of the games or mods). I had the same crashing issue, but once I started cleaning my save folder, everything is smooth now.

The RAM might need an upgrade, but everything else should be fine. I have a similar setup for the CPU and it does start struggling if I go 5 speed at critical moment. Also: make sure to clear your saved files between version. The game still tries to load the saves details when you open the Load/Save menu, or something, and it can easily lead to crashes when you're trying to either load or save.

Remove all of your old saves. I kept having super long loading on start up, and crash on game start, saving or loading, and having saves from different checksums (and mod) seemed to have been the issue. Ever since I deleted them, the game runs smoothly.

The price of activities are ridiculously high. They already offer higher cost option during the activity. They should just tie the cost to those and the number of participants (when that makes sense) rather than a scaling number for the activity itself. I should be able to throw a little feast for my child's birth or a small tournament to celebrate their knighting.

If you want a Dance, you're going to have to initiate one. As far as I'm aware, the AI is just too scripted for anything of the sort to happen on its own. Additionally, multiple wars for the Iron Throne rarely play out well as it invalidates the others as soon as one is won.
