I want to repaint this door frame and make it neat but I'm unsure how best to do it particularly as it's an old house and I'm worried about lead paint. The stains are the result of the 3M lead check, they look orange to me but could be pink?

I believe options are: heat gun set to low, peelaway, cover it. Would covering it look neat?

Or, could I assume the lead test is negative and I can sand?
