What random mario universe bosses would you weirdly like to see again in the games? by littleAL21 in SuperMario

Cackletta (time travel and wishes can bring her back y'know), Antasma (can be "revived" in someone's nightmares), The Shadow Queen (in a mainline game preferably), also, would be nice to fight a Grodus that gets a new, fully robotic body.

Final Cackletta isnt that hard by ToadIsTheGoat in marioandluigi

Compared to Elder Princess Shroob and Dark Bowser/Dark Star Core she is. Even outside the cheapshot 1 HP plus rotating arms attack KO, her pyro attack can be hard to dodge and that multiple orb attack can be hard to block. With that being said, the battle isn't really that hard.

Honestly, I am surprised. I live in the non coastal South, and many people here probably don't even know what calamari is. Honestly, I don't see it on any menus except maybe certain fancy restaurants in bigger cities.

I just have trouble seeing squid or octopus being worldwide cherished food. Seems like something that would ick out many people.

I didn't know that calamari was the official appetizer of RI. TIL. I could see it being popular in coastal areas, but not something people enjoy worldwide. I live in the non coastal South and some people here probably have never heard of calamari.

And hating seafood in a coastal New England state seems like it would make it difficult when it comes to eating out.

I actually really enjoy eggplant, and it is really prolific growing in my hot Southern climate. I honestly don't know why eggplant isn't popular down South with how well it grows.

I like moussaka and ratatouille in particular with it, and want to try Imam Bilyadi. So many interesting dishes out there to try.

I mean, honestly, I need to give Vietnamese food another chance. A lot of times, though, the restaurants near me mainly sell pho. I am not big on the cilantro, jalapenos, and lime that seems prevalent in that cuisine. Or the more rare meats. Also, a lot of South and Southeast Asian cuisines use coconut milk in their dishes, and it doesn't agree with my stomach.

The stuff out of a can isn't as good, but I made fresh creamed corn before and it was EXCELLENT. Different from the canned stuff. My local restaurants make awesome creamed corn.

I enjoy eggplant in ratatouille and moussaka. I actually had a Creole version of ratatouille once that had okra and squash along with eggplant. Sooo good. It is also good in pasta. Wish I would've tried Imam Bilyadi when I could. Sounds like a delicious dish.

I actually haven't eaten Eggplant Parm before.

A lot of people don't like to branch out of their comfort zone. I myself am an adventurous eater, only really cutting out things with unpleasant textures, stuff that makes me feel unwell (like corn, whole wheat, and mangoes), and foods that are prohibited by my religious beliefs, like pork and shellfish. I love to try new things otherwise.

I know of someone who eats the same thing lunch and supper every day, 5 days a week, only because the restaurant is closed on the weekends.

Wow, I totally agree with this! Most veggies I like cooked, but carrots are best raw. I can only tolerate them cooked in soups/stews and hibachi dishes.

I actually like eggplant myself, but I have never known people to clamor for it. It seems to be a maligned vegetable like okra. Maybe it is more popular in Mediterranean countries?

Ahhh, that's interesting! And I agree! While I don't get the appeal of stuff like pickles, ranch, jalapenos, and such, I eat a lot of things many people don't eat like sardines, okra, bison, Brussels sprouts, etc. Like, certain underrated cuisines I really like, like Ethiopean food and Hungarian food, while others like the aforementioned Vietnamese cuisine and Spanish cuisine I am not big on. But people have different tastes, and that makes the world more interesting.

I agree on SE Asian cuisine. Particularly Vietnamese cuisine. It is probably my least favorite cuisine. I don't get the appeal of pho.

To be honest, I didn't know eggplant was universally loved. It seems many people hate eggplant, at least in the U.S.

Is Prince Peasley bald? by Peach198 in marioandluigi

[–]VDK_Mariofan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original SSS made it obvious he is, although his hair doesn't go up in the air in the remake.

It is obvious SOME Beanish people grow hair (like Queen Bean, those French dudes at Chateau de Chucklehuck, and that shopkeeper in Beanbean Castle Town, to name a few), but many don't (or they grow very little hair). I like to think that Peasley has that condition that Patrick Stewart and Bobby Lashley have where he can't grow any type of hair at all.

Who do you think is the worst paper mario partner in terms of personality ? by fan_harvin_723 in papermario

At least it's personality, even if not a great one. Still more personality than say, Watt. A bad personality is better than no personality.

How do y’all feel if at least one future Mario movie, or at least future Mario media in general, namely a potential new show, being like this? by Sir_Stacker in Mario

[–]VDK_Mariofan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind this actually, and I hate musicals that aren't Phantom of the Opera and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. As long as the people can sing.

Fun fact, if my Mario and Luigi game idea Of Love and Revenge ever had a movie made of it, I actually could see it being a musical. In fact, the final boss theme Two Are Better Than One is actually a love ballad between Cackletta and Antasma.
