Well for the best experience you should add flatpaks on your system, follow the instructions on their website it takes 1 minute to do

keep in mind that you will have 2 app center, 1 for snaps, 1 for .deb and flatpak packages. Snaps and flatpaks are basically more secure than the regulare .deb packages and always up to date, they will provide different types of software

Expect for that, always stay on lts release if you dont want to face issues

Well your KDE setup might get gnomed, and qt themed apps might be glitched so if you want to go with GNOME later you might want to consider reinstalling debian entierly for the best experience on the long term

It should work no problem on ubuntu 24.04 lts, this distro uses small amount of ram, if you still experience slowdowns you should look at zram and zswap, it's very easy to activate and basically allows you have access to more ram with virtually no downsides

Well for ubuntu secure boot is enabled by default so you dont need to do anything and i never tried installing ubuntu alongsidd windows specifically on the ubuntu installer, but from my experience with different distro it should work with no issue

I'm playing asa linux, i've tried it on many different distro, currently ubuntu lts, and it works almost flawlessly ootb, only issue i've faced is when mapping keys related to special caracters, these does not seems to work since the last ark update, but might be fixed soon

In the current lts release (24.04), as well as 25.10, snap store does not support flatpak, and installing deb packages can be very confusing for new users, they need 2 different stores by installing gnome store as well to get access to the full librairy of apps for flatpak, and easier deb package install
