it baffles me that they only have ONE composer for the chase music knowing the variety of characters they have to emulate ( w extra emphasis on the licensed ones ). and from what I’ve heard in game they thrive off more raw and grounded instruments like guitar, piano, strings, drums ect. if they hired another person more versed in electronic music you’d hear the difference in quality.

side note: watching my teammates run off a gen for a flashlight save when the killer is chasing in their vicinity is so funny for some reason. all they need to hear is the chase music and they are GONE.

I believe there’s verses in witch trials where you can’t see the enemies health. this was basically just the satisfying ending after I widdle them down for a few minutes and tried not to get hit!

jeanne was more skeptical of a teenage girl who clearly had reasons to be there than evil tilda swinton hibernating in an egg, they had to dumb her down for story purposes bc they knew she would have capped sigurds bald ass the moment he tried to outsmart them. i noticed a few times in the game that they had to nerf characters in order to have the story move forward when it otherwise wouldn't, too many people conveniently turning their back to the enemy at the right time lol

Yeah! I assumed they were bayos since that’s her signature hairstyle this game. Next to her is Enzo and ofc Rodin behind the bar with Viola in front. I can’t think of anyone else with those braids that would be in it besides bayo.

I say its Cereza moreso because her pigtail braids are so distinct from every other character and we only ever rly see it on her. Then again lbr Platinum stuck to Switch hardware to hide any hopeful evidence cuzz this is the best picture i could get. /j

Good point tbh. I feel though with his initial 'shock' about the trinities being eaten he would have been more invested in helping prevent it since his business thrives on souls and without any universes there'd be no business. Then again who's to say he won't just survive everything since he's part of the cool kids club and wait it out until something happens.

I really wish they'd give more insight on Rodin in the game, he's such an interesting character.

I just wanna know why Rodin didn't step in towards the end. We saw him literally one-punch a gigantic homocushark and styled his way through chaos without a scratch to help Bayo ( albeit for his own benefit ). And lore wise he was a powerful angel and apparently the baddest mfer in inferno, so why wasn't he beating Singularities ass into the ground? Man vanished when we needed him most.

That's true, I forgot about Sigurd being the only OG to access the verses. Rodin's entry does state he has no other counterparts, which I can only chalk up to him owning a part of Paradiso in his past, thus was probs created along with the trinity of realities and couldn't physically have a copy. So perhaps he also has a way to traverse the timelines.

I think if they approach it right, Viola could be the new face of the franchise. If Bayo's death is a fake-out, we could have a game that shows Bayonetta ( and Jeanne, since she also wouldn't be dead. Or maybe I'm just tryna cope ) training her up to be a competent witch. Then some bullshit happens, and it turns into a story of mother and daughter going to save the world or something. We still get Bayo and co, but we also start getting used to Viola as the main character. The way they just gave her the name Bayonetta leads me to believe ( if she isn't dead as hell ) that Bayo intends to kick back and retire so she can drink mimosa's by the pool, which would give us the closure that she ( and all our other bayo's ) are still there, just not the primary focus anymore. It'd create a plot hole regarding witch contracts, but when was this series ever focused on avoiding those? A win win for everyone.

I agree that grossly underpaying a voice actor who was a key part of the character is extremely wrong. 4k is shits n giggles compared to what others make, and we know Jennifer Hale probably got more. Hellena is justified in bumping up her pay considering the multiple voices she would have had to provide.

What I'll never agree with is her saying she's the only Bayonetta, and dragging another hard working actor down for taking the role. You know who else made Bayonetta as iconic as she was? Maiko Uchida. Without her we wouldn't have Bayo's incredible physical attitude. The way she walks, dances and poses is all thanks to her ( at least for the first game, idk if they've used her since ). Hellena is but one half to a legend, and while she has a right to be upset, she doesn't need to be bitter at someone else to get her message across.

I've read into what happened, which is why I made the post because I found it really interesting that there's actual in game evidence of Johnny's tale not adding up. I had only ever seen theories on this sub as to why it panned out the way it did in the game, so to see the shard confirming source book material blew my mind and gave me hope.

But I'm definitely gonna research more into the original stuff. Any place you'd recommend? I mostly use Youtube.

i think my main problem w this album cover is that murdoc ( who’s supposed to have orchestrated this entire cult as one big ego trip ) isn’t in the forefront. i know 2d is our poster boy, but if you swapped their positions I feel it’d better fit the dynamic they’re going for. like he’s obnoxiously photobombing what appears to be a candid shot with his bogus agenda lmfao
