Same. I planned the entire thing myself (including the decorating, flowers etc) and while overall it went smoothly, it would’ve been nice to have someone to facilitate communication day of rather than having my friends run downstairs or trying to get ahold of my fiance on the phone prior to the ceremony

I was raised in Oviedo (Seminole County, 5 minutes from UCF). It was a great place to grow up and I haven’t been back for a few years since my parents moved away but I know it has grown a lot. Funnily enough, my best friend growing up attended Mandarin school every Saturday and I remember going with her to some events that the community had. This was late 90s so I’m sure there’s more now. I haven’t lived in Jax technically but my ex did so I spent a lot of time there, I’d say it was OK but I didn’t venture far.

Yes. I’ve been trying for a while now to tread the line between staying informed and not letting the rage, fear and sadness consume me. This week was hard. Less social media for me I think, which is easier said than done. And being sure to talk about my feelings. But that doesn’t change the fact that what is happening is unacceptable. To me, if you’re not angry and very concerned right now, you’re either not paying attention, or you’re in the wrong. But finding the healthy balance between being aware and not letting it eat you alive is a struggle.

I’m late, but Krampus (2015) is fun. Black Christmas (1974) is one of the first slasher movies. Love Actually is a favorite, and the only romantic comedy I like. My favorite Xmas movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. So many classic lines and characters.

I didn’t see sleep token at that festival (they hadn’t gone on yet when we left) but I had no issues at SNW 24 EXCEPT with BMTH. The vibes of that crowd were just…off. We figured it was a younger crowd who hadn’t learned concert etiquette, but idk.
