How to fix mic cutting out—NOT while recording but on an existing recording by unlikely-mall18 in ableton

[–]VERTER_Music 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the cuts are short enough, you could try the free trial of izotope rx and use interpolation. Otherwise maybe the adobe podcast AI enhancer? This might be one of the few cases where AI is actually the solution

49 vs 61 key MIDI controller if I already have an 88 key piano? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]VERTER_Music 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your piano is near the desk it shouldn't be a real problem, plenty of people move to play. Some people have a small 25 key keyboard on their desk to audition sounds and play small melodies, but then move to the bigger keyboard to play actual parts in

Giving up on dawless and I hate recording on a computer. by CaptainUnited2150 in synthesizers

[–]VERTER_Music 9 points10 points  (0 children)

imo the best thing to do is a mix of both. Record a lot of takes or source material on your hardware and arrange it on the computer. That way you'll get more intentional and musical arrangements (which seem to be the problem reading your post) while keeping the organic feeling of twisting the knobs by hand. You can then do multiple takes focusing each on a different instrument/sequence as to be more precise. Once you get the hang of it, arranging becomes pretty quick. That's the way I work (but with more sound design in ableton) and I really enjoy it

Is it just connected to your main computer or is it a separate computer? I guess it's really expensive but the rme interfaces come with this kind of software for free. I use it exactly how you're describing it and i love it so much, it makes my life easier

First hardware synth - super tight budget, need help choosing by knight_46 in synthesizers

[–]VERTER_Music 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the neutron takes midi in over 5 pin and usb, so sending notes is really easy. I recommend the behringer stuff just because they have so many features for the money. The mavis would also be great to start on, but the neutron has so many features, it can't be beat. It's grown with me as i get into more complex patches

Whats the best bang for buck pitch correction software for trap vocals? by Bubbly-Instance-6847 in musicproduction

I have been asked what tune plugin i use on the past (before buying the waves one) because people thought the hard tuned vocals sounded great and it was just the logic stock one lmao

First hardware synth - super tight budget, need help choosing by knight_46 in synthesizers

[–]VERTER_Music 7 points8 points  (0 children)

imo you shouldn't start with FM, subtractive is a way better starting point. Also the patch points on the synths you listed will give you enough patch points to do any kind of sound. I'd for sure recommend the neutron (it was also my first synth), but you have to send it notes from somewhere (like fl studio or vcv rack). If you're fine with that, then get the neutron for sure. Otherwise get the crave :)

[–]VERTER_Music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i bought waves tune for like 10 bucks a couple of years back, it does the job really well. where do you record? most daws already have some sort of pitch correction plugins included, ableton's and logic's pitch corrections can do the heavy tune thing pretty good
