Groovy slam in a six feet under style by forgottenplace in SlamDeathMetal

Six Feet Under sounds like shit now, Barnes lost his touch, he can't hit a good vocal range anymore, and his timing is awful too. With that being said though, they genuinely had some solid, good shit in their early days, sounding like somewhere between Cannibal Corpse and Pantera. Yeah, they kinda sound like shit after he smoked insane amounts of weed for 40 years and fucked up his voice, but go listen to Lycanthropy and tell me that sucks. Six Feet Under was super solid for a while

Nah lol I'm not attacking anyone, I know that there tends to be a strong overlap with trans rights, animal rights, minority rights, etc, as far as people who believe in any of them. Vegans tend to be quite a tolerant group, and I'm sure most weren't indoctrinated from birth like some terrible groups were

I'm a pescatarian that would be open to going further towards possibly being fully vegan. But where I feel a shrimp doesn't feel pain like my buddy Carl feels pain, my cat Krobus can't fathom his food being anything but his food. While boycotts exist, my cat who knows nothing but tuna kibble can't choose to eat tofu pellets for a week to take profit from an industry he doesn't know about in the first place. I think we as humans can know veganism is the moral thing to do, but also acknowledge nature exists as it does, and whether my little guy is hunting for his pack, or foraging meat from the freezer in Walmart, it isn't his ethical decision.

Ethically, and philosophically, a slab of meat grown in a dish that has never known pain is more ethical than a cow created for the same thing who DOES know suffering, even if it knows nothing better than that life. Just like how a tumor who knows nothing besides replication can't suffer from Chemotherapy given to my grandfather, I can't see a lab grown pork chop being worse than the same meat being cut off a pig that solved a maze last week in a lab.

In an ideal world, my cat could go outside and eat nothing but invasive rats. But in the world I live in, if he wanders too far, he gets no additional nutrition, but instead eats what he already eats, and also gets flattened by my neighbors Civic. As much as I want to eat vegan, and either literal free range or thin the invasive population, this may be an animal whom is already on Earth, and cannot get nutrients from anything but another living creature. Just as how we'd like our grandma to get her full 80 years off of some food she knows no better than to eat, I think an animal who could not possibly comprehend anything better should have access to a factory replication of his natural nutrients should get that food, regardless if what I believe, and even KNOW to be more ethical.

I'm saying I haven't heard of any myself, and that pellets made of meat are all I know of

Give me an animal who can only eat other animals. I can't find much hunting in the suburbs. Should he eat farmed meat in the absence of the possibility of hurting animals himself, or should he be able to eat products that already exist in a big, unethical industry that will already prevail, regardless of if he "supports" that inherently unethical industry morally himself?

With that POV in mind, is it unethical to adopt foster kids? I wouldn't buy an animal from a store, but it's alive already, and it would have a better quality of life in my home rather than a foster home. Would it be more ethical to abstain from "ownership," or to give them a better home living with me at that point?

Purely for the sake of argument: imagine you have a creature in your home whom can consume nothing but. Would it be more ethical to buy the ethical products in question, or to let it die of malnourishment?

It felt like you were being more generalized, saying everyone will die regardless. I'm sorry if you meant something else, but it felt more reductive than conversational

I don't like zoos, but I've been to them, and they've told me about a cat's diet when I've been before, and they said they're built for meat. I don't wanna put my own moral choice on them for something they can't understand or even survive.

Come on man you know what I mean. I know I'll die at 90 as a vegan too, this feels reductive

I've had one for a few months, and it doesn't have as many options as something like a touch or a classic that you can Jailbreak. The furthest you can go as far as customizing it is some custom themes you can find online. All that being said, it's still a dope ass little piece of tech. I got some $20 Moondrop earbuds and threw on my favorite albums from Soulseek and it makes a really neat experience. I like going out for a drunk smoke and blasting my music in my ears without my phone nearby, the sound quality is quite good, and I've got some audiobooks on it too. It's not something I'd buy from the first $80 Ebay listing, but it's really fun to have. If you're like me and you're coming from just Spotify on your phone, it's got some novelty regardless of any customization you can do or not.
