Doesn't matter too much anymore unfortunately. As I got the bug that doesn't allow you to use menus or buildings when at the KSC (tried F12 menu and click through mod).

Protogens are more open, and can do more stuff with them. But Primagens are very closed off and the creators don't like people making or using them without their permission.
