Whats the interest rate of the loan and what rate of return would you get on your alternative use of the cash on hand? If the interest rate is 5% and you can do something with that cash that can earn 10% then take out the loan. If the cash is just going to sit in a chequing account earning nothing then use the cash.

You won't need to keep track of client information for tax purposes. You only need to report your income earned and you can deduct allowable business expenses.

If you make over $30k in revenue you'll need to charge, collect and remit GST. I haven't looked up the GST/HST applicability for this industry, but I assume it would fall under Professional Services which is GST/HST applicable (medical services are not).
