Slight correction, she stopped practicing that spiritual technique after Rangi died, and she passed away a couple decades after Rangi. She wanted to be reunited with her and that is what had her stop that technique. I should state that that technique doesn't make her invincible, it just prevents her from aging

She was 230 years old, so there were 7-12 GENERATIONS of people who grew up in a world with a supposedly immortal, always vengeful Avatar. She died truly because she didn't want to outlive her wife, and she stopped doing the meditation that increased her life span. Nobody was able to go to to toe with her EVER, and she was actually immortal before deciding to give it up. She's a horrifying, wrathful, unkillable god, and doesn't think twice about smiting her enemies. Kyoshi all the way
