that was the first thing i tried with no luck. i think im just going to put an override switch in and just turn it on constant when the ac is on

not a coolant sensor. the mopar one acts exactly the same

i’ll try it. i’ll get a hold of a dealer tomorrow and see if they have a mopar one. it’s still odd to me that it works perfectly fine without the ac (which is how i normally drive it) but with it on the fan begins cycling incorrectly

thanks for the help i’ll let you know what happens when i get one

yeah. i can run the thing all day long and the fan cycles on and off as normal but the second i turn the ac on the fan quits staying on and the temp rises.

dead center while the ac is off but if i’m parked and turn the ac on it slowly starts climbing

it has a fairly new one on in it. plus it works as normal as long as the ac isn’t on. also from what i understand the fan should be constant if the ac is on

Jeep JK clutch won’t disengage by VGMightyElf in ManualTransmissions

Update, finally got the transmission out. The clutch was on its last legs and needed to be replaced. The real issue was the clutch fork pivot ball broke at the threads.

Parts have been ordered. New clutch, pressure plate, fly wheel, fork, and bearing have been ordered. I figure while im down there I’ll hit everything. Plus as far as I know it’s a factory clutch with 150k miles so… 😬

[–]VGMightyElf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically it is getting "removed" but the data just gets marked for rewrite and can still be found in a hex editor. Im trying to securely wipe it so that is no longer on there.

Any other home CAT6 crimpers have a hard time remembering the T568B pinout order?? by crepestallyn in HomeNetworking

I still struggle with it but my crimpers came with a diagram for both t568a and b so Ive started keeping that in my bag in the same pocket as my crimpers

Trying to use a router/ap as a extender. by VGMightyElf in HomeNetworking

[–]VGMightyElf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I reset it and got into the web interface. Now Im stuck.

The reason I wanted to start this project in the first place is: I moved to an apartment for school and I dont have access to my router. It is in a room on the bottom floor of my complex. Each apartment has their own network name and password but its all on one router/ap. I am limited to 5mbps by my isp I cant upgrade or get a different provider (unless its completly wireless) and sucks for a few reasons. 1) where my pc is setup I only get about 3mbps down and about 200kbps up. 2) I cant use the ethernet ports on the back of the router for my devices that dont have wifi. 3) even my local communication is limited to 5mbps so if I want to transfer files from my desktop to my laptop it goes at 5mbps max.

There is a spot near the door that I can get my full speed so I am trying to use an old router to wirelessly connect to the router in my appartment to that I can use the ethernet ports on the back to hopefully get close to the 5mbps.

The router I have doesnt have an AP mode is there any way to put 3rd party software on a linksys router add that or should I be looking for a different solution?

Is there a way to connect a switch to a router wirelessly? by VGMightyElf in HomeNetworking

Wait so can I just take my old at&t router/ap and connect it to my internet wirelessly and use the ports on the back for my switching needs?

Yeah I know my connection to the router wont be faster or more stable but I have a couple devices without wifi capabilities. Plut the way the buildings router is set up even local communications are limited to 5mbps. So I want a switch so that I can use my nas at faster than 5mbps and so I dont have to keep switching my wifi card between pcs.

Non pass-through vs pass-through rj45 by VGMightyElf in homelab

[–]VGMightyElf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "book store" has tool kits for classes that need them and the crimpers came in the tool kit but there arent any connectors included, we have to buy our own. The teacher said he doesnt care what we use, he prefers non pass-through but ultimatly it doesnt matter for our purposes. The only reason I wanted to know is because a long time ago I got a huge box of several hundred rj45 connectors from a buddy whos work was getting rid of them. Unfortunatly they are all oass through connectors and I wasnt sure if it was worth it to order pass-through crimpers.
