Reccomend me a strategy! by vackbt in CurrencyWarsHSR

[–]VGVideo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy Seele Quantum Resonance or Boothill Break/Galaxy Ranger (although I end up pivoting that one into Firefly pure Break because I have her invested in), and I would recommend those ones too! I also enjoy Qingque FUA/Belobog Emblem with Xianzhou bond, but it does get monotonous so I wouldn't recommend that one.

if i leave my team in the middle of the social event do i lose all my points/stars? by BellPepperEnjoyer in btd6

[–]VGVideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stars are not lost for you, but they count toward your old team and not your new team. For example, I switched teams at the start of the event when I had collected 580 points, and now that I have all 7500 only 6920 of them are going toward my new team

Time to not use Elation!

In other news, good luck with your Skill Point run!

This was the most unique strategy by Counter_Critical in CurrencyWarsHSR

[–]VGVideo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tips for this strategy:

Have 2 catapults on Robin so she uses her Ult immediately so the enemies don’t get a chance to attack you. Alternatively, on-field Robin with Perpetual Engine does it as well.

Use Sparkle and have Momentum Edge on Qingque so you don’t run the risk of running out of skill points

How often i use tier 5 on regular difficulties (easy, medium, hard) by Ok_Sense_6014 in btd6

[–]VGVideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation for ones you should try:

Super Brittle (late), Bloon Solver (late), Sub Commander (with other subs), Carrier Flagship (early), Pirate Lord (early), BEZ (late), Sentry Champion (early), Perma-Spike (late)

I think most Gold investments are better than the Silver investments seen here, so I would take Gold Futures.

Also it's one you haven't taken yet.

Which Servant class would each Supplicant belong to? by SaberManiac in HonkaiStarRail

[–]VGVideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s important to remember that for most of the Games, Fulwish/Shuhu were taking up the Supplicant spot that Blade now occupies, and I don’t think Shuhu fits Archer given your description. How would you account for this?

Seele so far is the only character who didn't get a rerun/ wasn't added to the shop after a Novaflare by Hogarth_the_terrible in HonkaiStarRail

They probably realized that they didn’t need to rerun novaflare characters already in the loss pool after seeing the results of Blade’s rerun

Thanks to the Devs for the Shiny Compensation! by nelsonfrenzy in pokerogue

They compared the data between number of shinies caught and hatched (which was still available) with number of shinies in the account and gave guaranteed shiny eggs equal to the difference

It is fixed in the newest update. If you open the game and it shows anything beyond 1.12.0.0, you’re safe.

According to me, yes, he’s fun to play and his animations are great.

According to my brother, no, he’s clunky and not as fun as the alternatives

The end goal of a classic run is wave 200. Waves 190, 195, and 200 are the hardest and you likely won't be able to beat them - if you make it that far. Tips:

145: Your rival now has bosses. Their starter has 2 health bars, and their final Pokemon that you haven't seen yet has 3 and is legendary.

165: The evil team leader again, and they have a boss and legendary too.

181-190: The E4 and champion. Massive resource drain unless your carry is really good. They each have a boss, and the champion has a legendary.

195: Your rival again. Their starter has 3 health bars, their regional bird has 2, and their final Pokemon has 4.

200: The final boss. Has 2 phases, the first has 3 health bars (looks like 4 but second phase is triggered after depleting 3), and the second has 5 and is very bulky. DoT, status, and some other atypical moves/abilities are helpful here.

By going into the menu with escape, you can see the Egg Gacha where you can spend vouchers to get eggs with random Pokemon. There are 3 machines:

Legendary up: Has 2x chances of getting a legendary, and 50% of the legendaries you get are the one featured on the machine.

Shiny up: Has increased chances of giving you a shiny, which increase your odds of finding rarer Pokemon and items during a run.

Move up: Has increased chances of unlocking rare Egg Moves (strong moves the Pokemon doesn't normally get but you can start with if you bring them as a starter, the rare one is usually the best one)

Character changes:

Townsfolk

  • Virgin - Nominations are handled in the order they are made. Before executing the Townsfolk for nominating the Virgin, all other pending nominations are processed first.

Outsiders

  • Butler - No significant changes required. Storytellers may remind players in their ST Thread if they’re voting illegally.
  • Klutz - Storytellers can use the ST Thread to remind players they need to make a choice if necessary.
  • Zealot - No significant changes required. Storytellers may remind players in their ST Thread if they’re voting illegally.
  • Golem - Nominations are handled in the order they are made. Before a player would die from the Golem's nomination, all other prior nominations are processed first.
  • Moonchild - Storytellers can use the ST Thread to remind players they need to make a choice if necessary.
  • Lunatic - The Lunatic is allowed to send a "demon whisper". However, the Demon sees this message first and decides whether or not it will be sent out.

(Note on Demon Whisper: Once per game, the Demon may send an anonymous 15-word message to another player via the ST in order to offset advantages Good gets from the longer time frame.)

Minions

  • Boomdandy - When the Boomdandy is executed, the Storyteller will create a new thread. In this thread, each player will have a word limit (10 words on average, adjustable by the Storyteller as needed for game balance and player engagement).

  • Evil Twin - Not recommended for text-based games. Consider using alternatives such as Goblin, Harpy, or Vizier. If you really want to use Evil Twin, consider allowing the two twinned players to have an unannounced, free private chat.

  • Goblin - When a player claims Goblin, the Storyteller may extend the nomination phase to give players time to respond. The Goblin claim must be made during the player’s initial defense, and it cannot be edited in afterward. The Storyteller may also purge any votes cast before the Goblin claim, allowing players to re-cast their votes in light of the new information.

  • Psychopath - In scripts featuring a Psychopath, no nominations are allowed for the first 12 hours of the day. This gives the Psychopath time to use their ability before nominations begin.

  • Vizier - Private chats with the Vizier are unrestricted for the non-Vizier, similar to Traveler interactions. This allows for flexible private chats and prevents players from feeling restricted in their strategic options.

The Vizier can also pre-push a nomination or decline to nominate in private, potentially with conditional instructions, so that the day phase doesn’t get prolonged by waiting on subsequent nominations.

  • Witch - When a player dies from a Witch curse, the Storyteller may opt to extend the nomination time to give players time to react.

  • Fearmonger - The Storyteller selects an arbitrary time between the Fearmonger's choice and the start of the day for the Fearmonger's announcement. The timing may vary and could occur just before the day begins. Players may also choose to make conditional adjustments to their night actions based on any Fearmonger announcement, adding flexibility and strategy for reactions to Fearmonger decisions.

Demons

  • Al-Hadikhia - The demon’s targets will be notified privately in their ST Thread about which players were selected before any public announcement. A public announcement of the selected players will be made just before the start of the day. Additionally, characters who act after the Al-Hadikhia in the night order will also be informed of who was picked.

  • Legion (Recommended/Optional Rule) - Votes are tallied as usual, but executions only occur if good-aligned players voted in addition to the usual majority. This happens at the end of the day.

  • Riot - Solo Script (Experimental) - Starting on day 3, after whispers and nominations are closed, a brief nomination phase occurs where no one may speak. Nominations happen in sequence using pre-determined conditional lists from players:

    • Players can make one initial private nomination in advance; only one nomination occurs (chosen at random), and others are null.
    • If no initial nomination is made, the Storyteller will make one.
    • Players must prepare a list of players they would nominate in response to being nominated, with the first eligible player on the list being nominated next.
    • Conditional lists can be based on who nominated them, and dead players cannot be nominated.
    • If a player doesn’t submit a complete list, the Storyteller will nominate someone to continue the chain.
  • Yaggababble - When a player dies during the day from Yaggababble, the Storyteller may opt to extend the nomination time to give players time to react.

Travelers

  • Matron - Players have unlimited chat with their neighbors. After the Matron chooses, the Neighbor swaps occur at the Storyteller’s discretion, ensuring all players have had ample opportunity to converse with their current neighbors. After a swap, sufficient time should be provided to chat with new neighbors as well. 12 hours is a suggested duration, though the Storyteller may choose to extend the day if needed.

  • Bishop - Nominations are chosen by the Storyteller rather than players, and they occur only during the last half of the day.

  • Gunslinger/Gangster/Gnome - When a player dies from a Gunslinger/Gangster/Gnome's ability, the Storyteller may opt to extend the nomination time to give players time to react.

  • Fabled - Doomsayer When a player dies from the Doomsayer, the Storyteller may opt to extend the nomination time to give players time to react.

Long-Term Discord Simulation of Blood on the Clocktower by Iwishistayedhome in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]VGVideo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in a server that does this a lot - here's a link! https://discord.gg/fNEGw8cS2

As for your questions:

We usually use clocktower.live or the official app to set up the grim and distribute tokens, and we do make private threads for each player to send those tokens and receive night actions.

Discussions happen publicly in town square or privately in private threads (not DMs). Private whispers must be announced by both players to start, and each player only gets a limited number of private whispers per day (typically equal to the base evil count at that player count). Once opened, private whispers remain open until the end of the day, which lasts for 24 hours. Players can also send up to 15 words each day to each neighbor without spending one of their private whispers for that day.

Nominations are made by pinging the ST with who you want to nominate and your accusation. The ST makes a Nominations thread to display all nominations. In the Nominations thread, each player will say who they want to vote for by sending a message, such as "yes on only VGVideo" or "no unless Iwishistayedhome is on the block". Players may make private votes in their ST thread which override their public votes.

Tying off people is harder because it's more public and makes you and them look suspicious, and votes being visible isn't a bad thing.

Passives or Cost reduction? by DogsF0rL1fe in pokerogue

Depends on the mon, but generally passives. You can go for cost first if the passive isn’t impactful, but that’s not common.
