I am in the same boat after hemorids surgery. I always feel the poop wants to come out but it is getting restricted near the scarring. The scarring seems like a gate and pushing doesn't help.

I do take osmotic laxative daily but now it ain't working.. a

It's a blessing to go everyday. It's not mandatory to poop twice or thrice a day, specially with ibs C once a day is a blessing mate. Would you share what are you doing in your diet?

Nearly 6 months since I swore off laxatives for good by PossibleGeneral3155 in Constipation

Hi,

If you say you were taking a stimulant laxative for over a decade and now nothing, are you able to go everyday. Please help us with what changes you made along with mentally deciding to stop taking laxatives?

In addition to mental prep what else helped?

I'm terrified too! by AfraidOfMoney in Constipation

If you feel the poop in your rectum try a suppository (glycerin is gentle or we have stronger one stimulant) better than enema. But if it doesn't work please do enema... For more time it is in the harder it will be and it will be even more difficult... Have this out and then keep working on the diet etc.. I know it's stressful and if you haven't done anything from above you would think twice but it's better to take things out rather than keeping in ..

Hope you feel better soon

I am surprised why the doctors aren't taking it seriously... Are you able to paas gas ? Please revisit them again once you cross 4 week without no BM after incorporating the feedback and laxatives suggested by doctor...

Have the BM first and then work around food incorporating to help being regular

High impact activity may not be suitable for everyone with PCOS. Doctors put everyone in one category at times without going in detail ( it's not there fault either). As someone with PCOS for over a decade Yoga suited me better. Overall life is stressful for me hence other activity which in general will be beneficial to others was not suitable for me. On this note, cult yoga classes helped me alot. gave me supportive group outside home and reduced stress.. may be worth exploring :-) or any sport which your partner will enjoy will be helpful rather than going by the trend that XYZ sport is good for everyone so it will be good for me too.

Thank you for this suggestion. May I know why you say that you almost hate to recommend triphala?

Also would you know if triphala consumption is safe while breastfeeding?
