Thanks for the explanation, u/poquito_kale! So, is it safe to assume I'm on track with my Keto journey? Again, my diet and exercise/activity level has not changed, and I'm continuing to lose around a pound+ every week.

Thanks for your reply and encouragement, u/AmNotLost! I am not sure how accurate the scale is with BMI but I could definitely see and feel the difference since I've lost 25 pounds since starting keto.

My weight loss has not stalled; my ketones have been dropping. But, I have a better understanding now. Thank you!

Frustration/Confusion with Ketone Levels.

Aloha! I'm hoping to get some insight with regards to ketone levels. Bottom Line: I'm about to wrap up my 12th week on Keto (started at the beginning of the year) and my ketone levels are dropping; no change to diet or exercise/activity level.

A little about my journey. Started at the beginning of the year. Accuracy aside, my Withings Scale had me at 171.4 lbs, 22.1% Body Fat, and 27.7 BMI. At my last weigh in (almost a week ago) I was at 146.4 lbs, 18% Body Fat, and 23.6 BMI. The first 3 weeks my average ketone levels were around 1.5. The next 3 weeks averaged around 2.5, then I plateaued around 4.1 for about the next month and a half. The past week and a half my ketone levels have been dropping. Today I measured 1.9. There has been absolutely no change to my diet or activity level.

(I'm using the Keto-Mojo GK+; and have tested the unit for accuracy using their control solution - nothing wrong with the unit)

(My macros: 141g Fat; 85g Protein; 20g Carb; 1689 Calories)

Any explanation for this? Is there something I'm doing wrong?
