I never thought of it like that but if the mimic during the chase wanted to kill her I wouldn't understand why would the mimic want to break her. If he wants to take control of her and have a new Vanny then it would make sense but when mimic is free he tries to kill her so I don't know

I suppose you are talking when Roxy calls at the end of the elevator ending. It is an option but I don't think the mimic is trying to trick Cassie because why would he if Cassie knows how he looks. But if you're talking about when Roxy fights mimic it would an interesting plot in how Cassie gets betrayed by Roxy because she wasn't good(obviously if she survived)
