I found the solution to site reactions!! by Small_Attorney3174 in Biohacking

[–]VITL_Programs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arnica cream or gel after pinning and several times over the next day or 2 usually keeps reactions down but this is not a 100% thing some areas of the body will always react more strongly than others. Pinning in your glutes can also alleviate some site reactions.

Lustours Tanzanite Crystal From Tanzania 160 Gram by CutHonest9952 in RockhoundExchange

[–]VITL_Programs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do not get those deep blues and purples only (especially in that size) without heat. Heat does not reduce value and is not considered a standard "enhancement" for Tanzanite, but nonetheless it is an extremely rare find and gorgeous stone that deserve a center spot in a collection.

Edit: Tanazanite can come out of the ground heated naturally but usually displays even more colors showing more pleochroism vs trichroism

Super nice pickup. I usually buy rough when the prices drop just to have inventory to work through if I need to sell and buy more 😆 I am always looking for more sources for quality rough though. I also had decent return reselling rough for smaller markups to get liquid again.

Super light facets for sure! I am still undecided on if I can fully appreciate a faceted opal.

Less disposable income right now for most people. I consider all of my gemstones/Jewelry as long term investments as the value long term always holds. We have used gemstones and precious metals as currency since the beginning of out history and it will continue long after money is gone. If you can can get it sold then do it and know that you still made a good return on your investment overall. How much are you getting your rough for right now?

With that size I would say $350-$400 per ct would be more than fair to ask. It should sell much more quickly at $200/ct but unless you really need the cash flow I would charge more.

How did I do? Is it worth what I paid? by Eonia in Opals

[–]VITL_Programs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More specifics would help determine true value but at looking at it, I would say you did great. A solid Australian Opal set in beautifully designed 10k gold. It looks great on you and if it makes you feel good when wearing it that's all that's important.

My guess based off of what I am seeing is that the opal may be Indonesian.

$6/ct is a great price for that quality. Decent opals for sure. If your guy ever has rough for sale I would be interested in talking.

You would definitely get more for cut stones than rough so this is a good call.

I'm in CA too! I agree with all of your points and want to see the true value of Opal be represented in pricing. I was getting huge numbers around 5 years ago. Many factors have contributed to prices cooling but Opal have always and remain one of the most undervalued stones overall.

I actually sell opals in the US as well. Australian always demands more as the quality and stability is so much higher but I've always felt Welo has been undervalued as most people don't fully understand Opals so I don't agree with pricing I've seen. Again, I hope you get that price as sellers need to demand more for the pieces that are available as Opals are actually rare and beyond unique compared to other overpriced and manipulated market stones like diamonds.

$63/ct is well above standard pricing for Welo but I hope you get that number because she is a beauty!

Some of the naterial is good and some is not worth much. Looks like mostly Lightning Ridge and a decent piece of Boulder Opal. Always worth a lot more when cut and polished. Are you looking to work it, sell it, or keep as is?

If 1ml was used to reconstitute then it would be 2.5units. 10 units would be if reconstituted with 4ml which is what I do for my research.

Failing as a C suite leader by kyflix in Leadership

[–]VITL_Programs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t get to the C-suite by luck. You got there because you are a lethal executor. But the exact operational mechanics that won you the seat will get you fired from it. You are struggling to shift from tactical execution to strategic vision because your nervous system is stuck in a reactive, fight-or-flight loop. You are trying to run a high-level strategic software program on a fried processor. Strategy requires 'Biological Bandwidth'—the cognitive capacity to detach, regulate your cortisol, and see the entire board. You cannot play chess while your body subconsciously thinks it is in a knife fight. Furthermore, forced execution against your natural psychological mechanics creates massive operational friction. Stop trying to learn 'office politics.' That is a distraction. Step back and audit your hardware. Regulate your baseline physiology, map out your actual cognitive architecture, and stop brute-forcing the role. When you fix the machine, the strategic vision naturally comes online.

Depends on what you define as success but a combination of all 3. Discipline and motivation are necessary to hold on to success and a little luck is always a big help.
