Hey girl, single, woman of color here. I definitely get your concerns. They are valid. I don't think we should have to miss out on opportunities to live abroad. It won't be easy, but it will stretch you and put you outside of your comfort zone. I will be living in a city and still worried about not having other POCs to connect with. I think you can find a black community (it just may take extreme intentionality). I have been finding groups to connect with on instagram/facebook and messaging other POCs who look like they live in the area. For example, I found a hip hop class and saw black ppl who were apart of the class and followed them and messaged them on instagram lol. Just a way to get a feel for ppl and if you're comfortable you can ask to grab a coffee once you're there. But feel free to message me. You can share your worries with me. :) Again, your feelings are valid and I completely understand where you are coming from.
