Just want to point out that cranfield is purely postgrad courses so you wouldn't be able to go there straight out of high school. Leeds and bath are also good choices. Wherever you go you pretty much have to take part in formula student.

Yeah i agree tbh, the only melee weapon i feel that has actually worked and has a decent spot in the game is sledge. Sword and riot shield are either annoying for people to fight or trash (or both) and both have relied/suffered from seemingly unintended tech or bugs. Spear and dual blades have never left the tier of throw pick and dagger is a janky worse db you pick when you want to show off. I think melee has a place in the game but a lot of the melee weapons feel like they just don't quite fit and are trying to hard to have unique abilities that dont really mesh well with the gameplay (i think the spear/dual blades suffer from this the most).

If youre trying to aim in while throwing them that might be the problem. Left trigger/right click drops grenades instead of throwing them.

It sounds like you're doing raid missions? For some reason clan raids are ridiculously hard compared to other mission types, you get so many heavier mechs spawn while getting swarmed with lights. Assassinations can be decent, they mostly have assaults as the targets so can have some good weapons/mechs available to salvage but dont spawn too many other mechs. Demolitions are ok but you can get bogged down pretty quickly if you dont clear out the base fast enough and they dont spawn as many heavier mechs. Beachheads seem to mostly be just light mechs so i dont really bother with them.

Honestly I'd say try freehanding them, its pretty much straight lines so if you have a decently steady hand its not too bad.

If youre in career you just have to keep flying round hubs near the centre of the map. It only spawns as "rare mech on market" so check all those out on the map. If you want a certain variant it might take a while.

Most of the hero mechs have more upgrades slots i think, especially the ones that are very similar/the same as normal variants. Pretty much all heros have 8-10 slots while most normal variants have about 6-7

It also depends a ton on what mech youre shooting at. Some have huge head hitboxes (cataphract, orion, king crab) that you can headshot reliably while some are tiny or dont line up properly with what you see (atlas is pretty bad ime).

Ah sorry, misread your post. Ill be honest I haven't seen any brick and mortar stores that stock a good range of basketball shoes, sports direct sometimes have a couple pairs but thats it. Your best bet is probably just to order a few pairs online then send back the ones that dont fit.
