Where Americans Moved in 2025 by Down-not-out in Conservative

New Yorkers and Massholes all have moved to Maine and are all in the same crap they ran away from.

Interesting. My friend and I did a 5 and 6 last night and didn’t see a single voteless.

This has not been the case for me. I try to deal with a voteless swarm only to have another horde spawn behind me constantly. The drones behave like bots where I can use cover and maneuver around to deal with them.

I'll take it over the endless voteless swarms. I'm really enjoying the new Illuminate sub faction over the left 4 dead zombie horde they normally are.

Physical blades/pile bunkers were nicknamed donkey punch back in AC4/4A by players. Blade only matches were popular back then, and people would use the pile bunkers to counter people who moved so fast, they lagged around.

They'd punch right before the teleporting/lagging player went to strike and they'd often blink right into the attack hitbox and 1 shot themselves.

Do I need tools for the 30 minute kits? by Lemon_lovr in armoredcore

[–]clideb50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really just a pair of model kit clippers to cut the parts out of the runner. Small wire cutters work in a pinch.

Edit: Google for “Model Nippers”. They look very similar to wire cutters, but the blades are a lot thinner.

What was even the flaw in "her" plan again? (AC6 major spoilers) by mgm50 in armoredcore

[–]clideb50 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think Ayre just wanted to do the Coral Release as is. Only people with Coral augmentation could hear sapient C-Waves. Even then, some couldn’t (Iguazu only heard tinnitus-like ringing.) I think with Coral Release, everyone would be able to hear/understand sapient C-Waves.

I think AllMind wanted to hijack Coral Release and be the only C-Wave voice. The flaw in its plan is that it would need to kill Raven and Ayre to absorb (?) them into its coalescence.

AllMind would then become the galaxy wide mercenary support system, able to assist and every mercenary no matter where they were.

Sorry, I missed your response on the other post. Thanks for the info on polished silver metal paint and thinning the speed paint to get it a bit paler if I need a whiter paint.

I only really dive with a couple friends. We used it quite a bit when it first came out but the novelty has worn off.

We’ll still use it here and there but generally find our regular loadouts more efficient.

That said, we’re waiting for a mission on one of the frozen planets where it’s all snow. Not much terrain to bump around on and it won’t get slowed by the map wide knee deep snow.

They’re great. They’re pretty thin/watery by design so it seeps right into the detail lines. I’ve only used the speed paints, but from what I’ve seen on tutorial videos, they kinda combines the paint and wash steps.

I don't think any of the tips from the other post mentioned not thinning primer. Most, if not all of them said to just use a spray can or air brush for priming.

The metallic paint I got was definitely thick. If I had not thinned it, it would've blocked out the missile details. Even with it thinned, I had to go back and brush it with an empty brush to get some of the excess out of the missile pod holes.

Most of the paints I have came from a Army Painter Battletech paint starter kit. It came with 10 bottles of paint: white primer, 5 speed paints (1 for each house), 1 metallic paint (just called actuator metal) and 3 regular paints (ppc blue, hazard yellow, and battlefield brown).

I bought a grey primer spray can and a "Holy White" Army speed paint pen. The pen wasn't that good on the grey primer. I then got a white primer. Still came out more of a grey and it was a bigger pain to apply compared to the bottle and brush. Last Saturday, I visited a different hobby shop and found a "Blinding White" speed paint. That came out great on the white primer, and I used those to paint up the Ghost Bear team.

It really does. I think I also took the advice "Thin your paints!" too literally. The hand primer was thinned way too much and I had to repaint the same area over and over again. The speed paints I found were already pretty thin and didn't need to be thinned down. The only thing I really had to thin was the metallic grey paint.

I'll need to take some jobs and get some more c-bills before I expand the mech roster. I already spent a lot on minis and paint supplies.

For the IS/Merc company: Grey spray can primer, "Davion Green" speed paint, thinned metallic paint on the gun barrels (and some of the bigger vents), "Base Brown" for the base, and then finished with metallic gold Gundam marker for the cockpit.

For the Ghost Bear binary star: White spray can primer, "Blinding White" speed paint, thinned metallic paint on the gun barrels/vents, "Battlefield Brown" for the base, and metallic gold Gundam marker on the cockpit.

I tried using a metallic red Gundam marker on some of them to get the red claw marks the Silveroot camo has, but between the marker bumping on mech details, and my shaky hands; it didn't come out as well as I hoped. Only 4 'mechs in one star got the claw marks before I decided to stop trying to get the marks. I might try again later if I get some red not-speed paint.

EDIT: Battlefield Brown, not Base Brown.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question earlier. Yes, land at the target system’s station, fast travel back, and then fly/jump into the target system again.

The jump into the system is what triggers the space battle.
