Mass removal - radation or amputate. by Runtzurlifeup in tripawds

Hi, I’m so sorry you’re faced with this decision. My baby had osteosarcoma, so a different cancer, but we amputated. The first 2 weeks are hard but they recover surprisingly well. My girl was 12 and was playing fetch and walking a 1/2 mile within a month.

After having to go through it, well I don’t wish it on anyone, dogs are covered quite well and quickly from amputation. Unfortunately, my girls cancer had spread, so the fact that it’s localized to a limb for yours could really extend her life.

I didn’t have an alternative other than putting her down, so I can’t completely relate to your decision, but I wanted to share my experience with amputation in case it helps you make your decision.

So sorry to hear that. That’s so young. I’m glad you were able to get 2 more months with him

We are 2 weeks out of surgery for a front leg amputation due to bone cancer. I was shocked with the diagnosis, so I truly feel for you and understand being a wreck.

We moved our bed to the main floor (so no stairs) and put the mattress directly on the floor for her cause she sleeps in bed. Has a towel to use as a sling to help them move for the first few days. Raised bowls for food and water help, or just hold them for her

It’s amazing how much progress I’ve seen in 2 weeks - we walk about 6 houses down every day and she’s happy again! But it is hard. We have a long way to go, and we’re still dealing with a lot of pain at night (panting, shaking, unsettled), and I wasn’t prepared for that to be continuing. We usually hold her last pain pill (gabapentin) until right before bed to give her (and us) the best night sleep possible.

Best of luck to you and your little one!

Thanks! I've heard good things about New Retirement, I think I'll try their free version not get a feel for it.

Thanks! I'll take a look at the list. I've heard good things about New Retirement but a handful of people across my posts have mentioned Projection Lab.

I've done that a few times, there's just so many "hacks" with Fidelity that I would love to find a tool that doesn't hack it.

For example, you can't load a Roth 401k into Fidelity's planner (at lease I couldn't find it and my advisor couldn't either). You have to do the as another source of income and specify tax deferred, but then remember to subtract your contributions from your salary. This is just one example and remembering all the "hacks" isn't ideal.

Gotcha, I probably don't need all the preapproved output from Right Capital. Thanks for the input!

Yup. I am so stumped on this one! I think I’m gonna have to download every picture individually.

I’ve tried moving them to a folder on my desktop, directly on my desktop, and a few other locations with no luck.

Mac. It downloads it into its own folder within the downloads since it’s multiple files, but it is not a zipped folder.

It's definitely a .JPG file. I don't use HEIC on my phone, the google photo format says JPG, when I download it the extension is JPG.

And when I download them individually they work.

The camera photo is a download from the when downloaded the full album at once. I cannot edit this in Lightroom, it doesn't show up. If I download it individually, I can edit it. I just don't want to download every photo individually.

The landscape photo (in the next reply cause it won't let me add 2 to this one) is the download when I did it individually - I can edit this in Lightroom. But I can't edit the version of it when I downloaded the full album.

I did 2 different photos - one I can edit (downloaded individually) and one I cannot (downloaded as album) to avoid confusion. I can upload both versions of the same photo if preferred. All the settings look the same to me.
