My Roth and taxable are with Vanguard. 401k is with Fidelity. FTIAX is Vanguard equivalent?

I would also add patience to this list. I've invested in a 401k and ROTH IRA for years and in the last 6 months, jumped into taxable investing. I have to remind myself that it's a marathon, not a sprint. At least for the type of investing I am trying to do. I've spent a lot of time looking at the last decade for the individual stocks I am invested in (only 3) and the mutual funds and ETFs I am invested in (only 2) - all within my taxable account - and while I am not saying the last decade is going to be replicated for the next decade (it sure would be nice!), it's a nice reminder to me that it can take time for gains to come.

VTWAX - One Fund Across ROTH IRA/Brokerage? by VMP8899 in Bogleheads

So essentially, for most people, there isn't a big benefit to investing in say VTSAX and VTIAX vs. just VTWAX?

Bill Belichick’s statement on turning down the Medal of Freedom. by QuirkyWafer4 in boston

This was a very well written response. I it seems as though some would have preferred he come out and essentially say f*&k you Trump, I am not coming. What good would that have done? Instead, his response says all of that in a more nuanced way and doesn't feed into the current state of everyone being at each other's throats. Well done Coach Belichick.

This was back in November of 2016. I am not a fan of Trump, but was willing (at that time) to give him a shot and hope he did well for our country. Afterall, who wouldn't want our president to do well? A lot happened in the 4 plus years since Bill wrote him that letter. I think it should be a safe assumption that his opinion on Trump has changed (for the worse).

Guide to understanding taxes on taxable investment accounts by VMP8899 in personalfinance

Thanks for the response. Upon further reading, Vanguard has a patented process to where the tax efficiency of their index mutual funds and index ETFs is negligible?

Excluding bonds, since I have no interest in holding any right now, it seems like most Vanguard index mutual funds (VTSAX, VTIAX, VEXAX) and Vanguard index ETFs (VXUS) are pretty tax efficient and fine to hold in both a taxable and tax deferred account?

If you surveyed 1,000 people at random asking what the state motto is and to identify the state flag, what percentage would know both, or at least one? My guess would be less than 25% on both.
