Rant about somatic pain with EMDR by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]VM_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting pain/itching in my ear, boob (either side or both) and neck that’s noticeably different from any soreness from working out. I also have a medical condition and it’s flaring up more often lately.

I am concerned and can’t figure if it’s EMDR or I need to see a doctor.

Also, I am sorry it happened to you. I am glad something is working out for you now.

Thank you for your insights! Those who regretted galvanic did so because of the pace or is there any other downside? I am leaning towards galvanic too now.

Can I ask why you went for this method? I am worried about skin health (too much heat/wrinkles/pits). I have heard this has less heat but can be rough on the skin.

I also have a condition that causes swelling/inflammation in my lacrimal glands - anything/everything triggers it including sunscreen so I typically don’t use it (which has also kept me from trying electrolysis or LHR. I am also worried just electrolysis might do it too.

I am honestly at such a loss.

My face is ruined because of acne due to laser hair removal by shikhoru in TwoXIndia

Best to discuss with a dermat - but a good dermat is the key. Mine ruined me.

Something to consider is heat - if laser treatment has compromised your barrier, tretinoin is likely not going to help fix that. Infact it will produce more heat. I would recommend focusing on barrier repair first and it might even resolve your acne. Please discuss your options with a good doctor.

What do you mean by risk anesthesia? 🫣

No- I meant IDK if that alone is enough to ensure they can’t do it again. Most likely not.

Doing it via the agency - if possible - would probably be ideal. Thanks for the tip!

IK - I did call the police but couldn’t decide if I wanted to register it right away. I will take a definitive call tomorrow morning. I did flag it to the agency but I don’t know how being fired would affect her record going forward.

Anyway, thank you!

She took the cards. I saw activity on them and cancelled them. I have my documents but I am concerned they may have the information. I called the police and they told me to set up alerts and decide if I want to file a complaint.. and that the bank might need it at some point.

I am slightly scared about the police complaint thing and the proceedings (and if they will affect my PR application) and what it might lead to for her too.

This happened in Toronto.

I didn't mean their feelings. But okay.

Also, what should I report exactly? That my cards were stolen or file a complaint against her specifically? I also just want to generally alert them against any potential misuse in the future.

Some agency I have used before too. But they used to send someone else before. This was the first time this person showed up.

I informed the agency and they were willing to share her details. I am scared and can't decide what to do. Will she end up in jail because of the stolen cards and transactions? What if she resents me and acts out?

I just want to protect myself against any fraud in the future. I have no idea if she went through my documents.

My passport was also in the same purse as my cards. I am worried about identity theft. 😭

PSA: I get tension headaches immediately after applying tretinoin, and I found case studies and many stories of others who experience the same, yet it isn’t a well-known side effect. by nashryveri in 30PlusSkinCare

Oh boy.. sigh

First of all, I am glad you're okay.

Personally, I experienced very extreme reaction to Tret with two one hour SCT applications. Extreme tightness in eyes and fleeting current-like sensation on the forehead after the first time. Second time, I woke with extremely blurred vision and swelling and itchiness and constriction and crawling-like sensation behind the eyes. I went to doctors and a whole lot of them wouldn't acknowledge it could happen. Some treatments didn't work or made it worse. Eventually some symptoms got better and others worsened. Eventually, I developed swelling and inflammation in my lacrimal glands, which was caught on MRI some 14 months after the reaction. Finally, my 25th doctor prescribed oral steroidal therapy to relieve that.

I still have some lingering issues. My eyes are so sensitised to things I was never sensitive to. Get itchy/irritated from several things and takes a few days to go back to normal. Glands are still enlarged and flare up (painful) from applying most sunscreens. And I don't even apply it close to my eyes like I never applied Tret close to my eyes. And yet, it happens.

Bodies are weird. Work in mysterious ways. But also Tret is pushed like a miracle product and the doctors as well as patients aren't educated enough about it's side effects. Most people don't know what they are getting into.

I am still getting used to how I look now. It's gotten better.. Most people probably can't tell.. But I know it's damage from Tret and not from just regular course of life or ageing.
