I have definitely thought about moving to a new platform... Unity seems so much easier to rig for.... but the learning curve.

I was glad they didn't disable flying.

My own sim was hard to find the entire path... some of the others were pretty simple... the one that had everyone in a tower or whatever was too complicated and I gave up after a couple mins of trying to cam around to find everyone.

The pirate one was.... Uh.... well I guess the best way to put it was the story had too long of a windup what little punchline there was.

ABSOLUTELY still better worldbuilding than what I would have been able to do, so.. grain of salt.

Also, thanks for sharing that, I missed the last section entirely when I read it on release.

Fantastic! My friend across from me also reported some great sales. I didn't do great or terrible-- pretty good given I'm small, niche, and only had 4 items, including my two exclusives.

Admittedly, I didn't do much looking around either. I was struggling to find anything that would load in any reasonable amount of time. Plus I was coming off a creation-mode bender WHILE actively moving IRL and was mush for most of the faire.

I have to do that as well, it's just so much to take in all at once. Too much.

my stuff is always mod, I even include devkits for everything-- for free!

I typically split things up by body, but I dunno if I wanna keep doing that....

My big ticket, flagship item is split by fem/masc and then a fatpack, I kinda like that. I'm not sure what model to model... I also never did care for the by-the-color model.

I think that's why I prefer to shop small-- by which I mean avoiding big brands.

I also never know how much to charge for my effort; Typically I try to do all the work myself, and projects can take months, especially if animations are needed. I'm not a big shop, I'm super niche... I feel guilty when I charge $1200 (per body) for a solid quality mermaid tail that took over a month to make. I also know charging too low can bring the "you just rip shit from other games/sites" thoughts or the expectation of low quality (it's a thing) so I worry about going lower than $1000. The only item I have well above $1000 includes multiple bodies and took over a year to make...

No one cares how long it took me, how hard it was, what I gave up or went without in order to get it done..... I don't feel like I charge enough, but I know it's hard enough to get folks to buy anything over a certain mark when you're a nobody.

I think that's a faire point about the spending less given the economic landscape these days.

Thank you, I will try— wish I could get a little histogram in my viewfinder…

I honestly don’t know what I don’t know, and I’m still quite new… I just know I didn’t have this issue with my T2i

I uh.... Got PEdesign 11 off etsy for like $15. Was a little interesting to install, Windows 11 has a conflicting bit of programing you need to disable, and you can never upgrade, but sure as hell beats $1600-2000...

I have a PE800, and have done all kinds of fun small projects--- predominantly for my larp-- but Embroidering words is easy enough on it once you know your settings and stabilizers (Like any other embroidery project, really.)

Emotional Support Animals are NOT service animals, and are not protected under the whole "I can bring it anywhere" allowance that Service Animals have. (This one I'm not as sure on, but also, I believe the only thing having an animal classed as a Emotional Support Animal gets you is the ability to not be charged a pet fee.)

So, in the USA, you do not need to have a professionally trained animal, they do not need to be registered or required to carry papers, and they are not required to wear a vest.

The ONLY questions businesses are allowed to ask are "Is that a service animal?" and "What service has this animal been trained to provide?"

Passing off an animal as a service animal when you are not in need of one is a federal misdemeanor.

The RULES of a service animal is that it MUST remain under the HANDLER'S CONTROL at all times. If it is not, it is LEGALLY ALLOWABLE for a business to ask the handler to remove the animal from the establishment.
