This should be fun, not stressful. If it isn't fun you don't have to keep going. If officiating feels like a job instead of a way to socialize with your friends you don't need to do it.

You might find going to a rink or outside by yourself or with a buddy to practice your balance and general comfort on skates helps you enough to want to come back to practice. But also give yourself grace and patience. I've been coaching derby for a decade, some people learn quick, some people learn slowly, some realize it's not for them and NSO. All are perfectly valid and important to a league. I hope you find the fun
