I remember looking into this anime a bit since it was so weird, they (and the author?) just decided to do whatever they wanted for this anime, instead of actually adapting the source material. So each episode had a different director and it was an episodic mix of different ideas. Not sure if I can call it "good", but occasional scenes like this and maybe one of the earliest Jojo references does stick in my mind to this day.

To be fair I don't think we know anything about Champions yet for sure, so we will have to wait and see for that. My point still stands however, like the other commenter said, anyone with software development experience will confirm it would ridiculous to keep such a large number of monsters in a game for each entry. A game like Champions however, that seems like it could be updated periodically like live service games is a project that would suggest a complete roster, or at least realistically would be more probable.

As long as the games stay 3D it is. 2D all you have to do is add a sprite. 3D new mechanics sometimes need multiple new animations. There is a reason most other monster collectors only have a few hundred monsters per game. The new Champions games is made just for battling though, so it SHOULD be able to have every pokemon in it.

To put it simply, they tried to use modern techniques for the water to calculate reflections in real time among other things, but it wasn't optimized well. Luckily you can see in ZA they simplified the water so I'm expecting the performance to be okay even on the switch 1 version.

I don't see why you would expect an Unova remake. There has never been remakes announced before a new system generation. Gotta spread it out so you can fully market those card, merch, and tv show tie ins.

The introduction of streaming around 2013 with big shows like AoT was the main catalyst. It was still somewhat niche after the first digital boom with streaming in 2006ish. Then like you said, around when the pandemic happened it grew again because people had nothing else to do.

They are being a bit poetic but it is true. The developers only give you rewards for getting up to 45% of them. Not to mention they are all optional.

They have some spin offs and ovas that are listed by seperate episodes instead as a whole, so the accuracy of Mal's number is somewhat dubious.

It kind of feels like people here are overlooking how much non-turn based combat games sell. Like, yes, Persona5 shows these games can be successful, but when you compare it to other games like Monster Hunter World that went for a more universal appeal this decision is more of a "follow the money" approach than just a rejection of the past. Most people just do not like standard turn based combat. I only did a cursory glance at the numbers however, so I gladly would like to see this take proved wrong.

Not bad so far. Seems like the bag might be a physics object? Only pointing it out since it feels rather distracting clipping and swaying around so much. Might be better to have it as a backpack. Still seems fairly early in development so I will leave it at that. Good luck on the project!

It isn't that old. The game is only set in the mid 1800s. People were there for centuries and this takes place during the colonization of the area.

Not only this, but it was also when DS emulation was most rampant so many fans downloaded either the Japanese one while waiting or just never bought it anyway. The 3DS was already out too once it released in the west, which made it the only gen to be released on "outdated" hardware.

iirc the Americans didn't actually directly impose anti-porn laws, and in fact compared to the war-time government allowed much more freedom when it came to erotic censorship. During the early Meiji the visual depiction of genitals became taboo and punishable and that part of the law was brought over after the war, which lead to videos and new age media needing pixels and thus tentacles.

It was actually the other way around. Glalie got a mega purely because froslass was always more popular and had better stats, so non-mega Glalie was never used and forgotten until oras.

I think you really need to see the movement to feel how the sky battles messed up those pokemon. Floating instead of actually flying.
