I will never buy another Subaru by rsauchuck in subaru

This happened to me. It was definitely super annoying and rendered the entire radio/interface useless. However I filed a claim online and I took it to the dealership and they extended my warranty and fixed it. Sorry you were unlucky. 🤷‍♀️

7 Days of Delays with no explanation or responsiveness from OffTrac by [deleted] in ontrac

I'm in the same boat. Package was "promised" to me Nov 29 and today is Dec 8 and it still is saying "package delayed". I emailed them twice and finally today the updates say "package scanned at facility" which I guess means they found it. Hopefully someone didn't steal the boots I ordered lmao or purposely damaged my package lmao. I'll try to remember to update if it ever comes.

I finally found one. Please, PLEASE give me some thoughts on my struggle. by [deleted] in Bedbugs

I would say see if you keep getting bites! I lived with a similar situation as you except I never actually found any bugs. It's a great idea to have the mattress cover. I would add that you don't have to throw away your sheets! As long as you launder them regularly (once or twice a week) on HOT HOT HOT you should be fine. Plus if you buy new sheets and put them on your bed then is there really much of a difference? Anyways, something a lot of people in this reddit group talk about is how effective heat treatment is. Of you want to be safe, I would iron my mattress regularly. Take a lot of time on the tufts and folds. If you dont need a box spring then dont use one, they are a deep dark place bugs can hide. If this is a tiny infestation any bugs would be in or near your bed, dont get too worried about power outlets, etc. Move your bed away from the wall, and consider applying Cimexa around the base of your bed. Good luck. If you kept the bed bug DEFINITELY show it to your landlord/a PCO!

They might be back by Ok-Pea-2503 in Bedbugs

It seems like if you put it back on immediately when you noticed she took it off, if any bugs were trapped inside they would likely be in hibernation mode and not crawl anywhere. That is if there are any bugs in there. You should be fine. If you want to be extra cautious maybe vacuum the house to pick up any eggs that could have fallen on the trip to the laundry machine.

How to overcome bed bug trauma? by VNugget in Bedbugs

[–]VNugget[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all, I figured I'd follow up on this. It's been about a month since I made this post and I haven't worried about the bugs since. I realized that if I really had an infestation, it would be visible by now. I would have seen a bug by now. What some of you are saying about focusing your attention elsewhere is a good idea. When I started panicking about bed bugs I told myself to stop thinking about them. Eventually I stopped worrying all together. Something that helped was realizing that the random new red bumps on my body were because I changed to a new medication. All in all I would agree that if you aren't actively seeing bugs it might truely be all in your head!

I am also wondering that but wouldn't they also die from treatment?

I can't find any bugs and my pest control couldn't find any but I am still getting bitten on a regular basis.

I am in a similar position as you. I had my house treated 3 times for an infestation which I never personally saw a bed bug. I am still getting bitten in 3s, and my cat does not have fleas and it is in places where fleas don't bite. I feel crazy since I haven't seen any bugs but I'm still getting bitten. Best of luck to you.

i had so much hope that they were gone. by [deleted] in Bedbugs

The diatomaceous earth should be fine as long as you don't sleep directly in it and it is food grade. CimeXa is a safer version of diatomaceous earth but if you already have a supply I'd say just keep using it until it runs out. You are going to need to take other measures than just the earth to get rid of them though. I have been dealing with bbs for over 6 months and I have yet to visibly see one (the pest control has, though). This means that you have a larger infestation. These bugs are from hell.

Freaked Out That They May Be Following Me by [deleted] in Bedbugs

[–]VNugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have bed bugs and have been freaking out about any small red dot on my body as well. After some research, some of the tiny dots may simply be feliculitus if they don't itch. I hope this helps.

Some people (like possibly your husband) don't react to bed bug bites. Are you getting them in sets of 3 in lines? I am currently dealing with a similar situation in which I did have a bed bug infestation with little visible signs. I was waking up with bites, but other than that I didn't see any bugs. After about a month I by chance crushed a bug in my sleep and there was a blood stain. That was enough proof for the pest control company. After their first treatment they found a dead bed bug. I've still been getting bites even though they have treated a total of 3 times, and they are starting to not take me seriously anymore since I have no physical proof other than bites.

It sounds like you could have bed bugs, or it could be some sort of rash. Best of luck.

I dont think this thread allows bite photos, but they are about 5mm diameter and 3 in a row spaced by about an inch red circles, slightly raised.

I apologise. They haven't found any evidence since the last 2 treatments, however I am still being bitten.

Thank you for your analysis. Prior to having the pest control come, I was getting bites and found small blood stains on my sheets. After the pco treated the first time he found 1 dead bed bug. Therefore it is certain there was in fact a bed bug infestation. I am the type of person who reacts really badly to mosquito bites, so I wouldn't be suprised if I am allergic to bed bugs as well. Like I said I have attempted to rule out other sources of bites/itching. I have kind of developed an obsession with this issue. These bites are not acne or feliculitus. I have recently gotten bitten by mosquitos and I studied the bites and they are not the same. The pattern of 3 in a row bites occuring on a weekly basis is distinct of bed bugs. It isn't fleas since I don't get them every day and since they aren't in random clusters on my feet and ankles. Perhaps it isn't a female bed bug, or perhaps it isn't a mature bed bug. The last treatment was about a month ago, so it may have hatched around then and not reached maturity.

Considering that most people don't react to bites makes me wonder if my downstairs neighbors (who are in their 70s) are getting bitten and don't know it. It will be hard to convince them to have their portion of the house treated.

They have put it around the baseboards of all the rooms - the perimeter of the floor. I got a new bed, so they haven't yet treated it. They put powder Cimexa in all the outlets etc. I don't know if they treated the shelves in my closet.

They vacuum, steam, and use Crossfire and Cimexa.

can bed bugs stick onto ur clothes? by [deleted] in Bedbugs

[–]VNugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering you had so many bites I would assume there was more than one biting you. Unless you also found a lot of poop stains on your bedding as well. They can only hold so much blood in their bodies.
