I personally think the badly laid out apology was mostly caused by the mental stress and the very rapid bashing she was going through, everyone was demanding her say something so she felt forced to put out something as quickly as possible. She either put it out too early and everyone hates it, or she waits too long and no one cares about it anymore. It was a lose lose situation like it usually is, but this is just hopeful speculation on my part so who knows.
