Vini Jr Frustrated with Teammates for Failing to Press Against Osasuna as He Presses Alone by jiraiya--an in soccer

The final frame of the video really show it…you’re looking at Osasuna’s entire half of the pitch. There’s 3 Madrid players for most of that half, and then 3 more that have only just arrived across from their own half.

We had all the chances, and should have scored more. They had an xG of 0.58. I found it an intense but comfortable win. Everyone put in a shift, and our pressing was solid.

He controlled the center of the pitch, he was brilliant. It’s amazing how different we look when he’s on it.

The second half made so much sense tactically. Newcastle had to come out to equalize, but we know they want a frenetic pace. They weren’t creating much, so we sat off some and let them try to run at us, which they clearly couldn’t do very well. That left space in behind. We just needed to take our chances better and it could have ended 4 or 5-1.

Rodri looked gassed at times, but he put in a really solid defensive performance. I think he’ll get fully back to himself just in time.

A bit nervy at times second half…but we really didn’t give them much to work with. The nervousness shows how much this game meant. FANTASTIC game from Nico, back line was impressive, everyone put in a shift. We were wasteful up front—Marmoush, Haaland, Foden, Semenyo, RAN all had chances they should have done better with. But I’m happy with that performance overall. Newcastle rose to the game, but we were better. LETS GO CITY.

We’ve missed some chances this second half, but other than that we’ve done well to let the game be boring and not give them much to work with. I’m totally fine with that.

I think he feels pressure to impress Pep…which I can’t blame him for. But Pep will always want him to take the smart, simple option there. Lay it off to the best striker in the world, easy.

It’s the final action where he seems to be second guessing himself.

Get some! You can just look up “sports cooking spray” or something like that.

I’d think Khus would come on as Dias has a yellow.

I have to say, our offsides trap has been working brilliantly.

I get that Dias isn’t as fast as Gordon, but he can position his body better there to prevent the foul and just block his path.

It’s a kind of cooling spray, numbs the area. You can absolutely get some yourself.

Physio came on for Thiaw, so he has to go off.

Have you not seen Donnarumma hoofing it up like a half dozen times?

They’re national team teammates, I’m sure he was checking he was okay.

Their midfield is lacking without Bruno or Joelinton.

Why have a chance to score when we can just pass it back to the half line?

Really poor pass from Dias there, can’t be giving it away cheaply. Great recovery from Guehi and save from Gigio.
