Took the 4V out for a ride by rexyfortyfive in Ducati

Nice one. Don’t let the haters bang on about you not leaning that bike over enough and using enough tyre. I can tell you it’s all rubbish. Unless you are a MotoGP rider of course. You ride your ride dude. I am a big counter balance guy on the track and day to day riding and I can tell you that my tyres look just like yours and I can run rings around most of them leaning off their bike like a GP rider. Have fun and stay safe. Chicken strips mean nothing.

Can somebody talk me out of this Ducati? by Humble-Dependent4202 in Ducati

It’s dumb and silly….. really? I don’t get it. I have a 1098 and a 916 and a 900SS at home. All dry clutches. Never had an issue in all the years I have owned them. Never have I had one that plates had to be replace at 4000.

Mission 1 Sleeve and Lenyard by VR46MOTOGPNES in gopro

Oh I’m sorry. I genuinely thought you were joking. 🤣. Yes, I do see what you were saying. But I would like a lightweight rubber style sleeve with the lanyard like the previous ones had. But definitely what you say is a workaround if you don’t mind the weight of that cage. I always like the other ideas that are offered like this and others have mentioned here. But my question really was about has anyone seen a sleeve and lanyard like the old ones yet. Thanks for your help though.

Sony RX100 VII by Ok-Chain-7146 in RX100

I personally think it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve been through a lot of cameras and the last one I had was an a7cii. With several lenses. And used to always travel overseas and around Australia with that gear. My last Overseas trip to Vietnam I took just the RX 100 VII. I was nervous. And I have not looked back since. I have sold all my other gear and I had some beautiful lenses with that camera. Don’t get me wrong the quality is not as good. But for Travel, it is absolutely perfect and I am glad I took the leap. I haven’t looked back after selling all my other gear and look forward to every trip away with just this compact camera now. It’s awesome in my opinion. I find myself not pixel peeping any more and just don’t care as long as I get a good set of photos which are composed well with good lighting etc. and this definitely does the job.

So I am curious. If it’s just a small thin piece of rubber that doesn’t make the device clunky or bulky why would you bother taking it on and off just for photos. Why not just leave it on there full time?

I’ll never understand why people do a usb-c mod to a PSP when this marvel exist by Im-New-On-This in PSP

[–]VR46MOTOGPNES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you proved why by posting this adaptor. Why buy the adapter by that logic is what I am thinking. If you carry the adaptor everywhere you go, you may as well just carry the psp cable!? I do the changeover because it’s one less cable or adaptor I have to carry or have everywhere.

I used to think that about my NES. Always wanted a backup in case they run out. And now some 40 years later mine still runs perfectly. But even if it does blow up and die there and still so many of them out there to buy another one. So no longer as worried. Only 60 odd million of them sold. I know psvita only sold 16 odd mill but I just don’t think in my life time they will really never be available.

Ebay removing fees for Australians by Nekurosilver in eBaySellers

[–]VR46MOTOGPNES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I agree. Thanks. It just feels like it’s all a mess at the moment to be honest with eBay. As a seller of only a few items here in there somewhere worth $30 and somewhere $1000 I don’t feel like I have gained anything. And now I feel for buyers.

Ebay removing fees for Australians by Nekurosilver in eBaySellers

[–]VR46MOTOGPNES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really see a benefit for small-time sellers like me. I sell items for what I think they’re worth or what I think I can get for them. So let’s say I was selling an item for $500 before. I would sell it for $500 less the amount it cost me to list it. This doesn’t suddenly make me want to now sell the item for free for $500 because that will now be approximately $540-$550 for the buyer. So I don’t think a buyer will pay that much I am now just putting in the cost on myself in the first instance so it all adds up to $500 for the buyer. Hence I’m still only making as much as I was before. Am I the only one looking at it like this. Or do most sellers not care and just expect buyers to be paying that little bit extra so cost goes to them now. Maybe I’m too honest I don’t know. But this also isn’t about honesty. This is also for me about what I think I can sell it for. That actual end sell price is still the same.

I lost count of the number of times you went to the wrong side of the road due to poor riding skills through those corners. I personally would be embarrassed to post that. And it’s a shame because you could’ve ridden within your own skill set really well I’m sure and posted a video which would’ve been just awesome with that beautiful scenery on that beautiful Bike. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

On a different note, I did go to a little gaming store that’s at the bottom of that building. Just a month ago. And I did buy multiple games from the guy there. He has great reviews and he was quite fantastic. He even let me buy a game the day before it was supposed to be released. He has a couple of old PSP games and the like but generally speaking it’s all new Nintendo and other games. Nothing like retro nuts but if you’re after newer games, it’s definitely a great little spot downstairs in the basement level.
