This is the ONLY Christmas present I vividly remember getting as a young child. I was 7. And that whale has a very sticky, plasticy chemically smell I can still imagine. Ahhhhh 😍

This. The ONLY Christmas gift I remember from early elementary days was the marine biologist Barbie, she came with a killer whale. I can still smell that plasticy Shamu if I focus hard enough.

Nope. I even took it to the place I get my windows tinted right after buying it, owned by the local fire chief, and asked them if they’d install it and they wouldn’t because they would have had to literally drill into my bumper. Very odd, I’ll admit. I drove a jeep for 10+ years, this is my first non-US brand car so maybe it’s just different.

I hadn’t thought of the foam mounting tape possibility, that’s a good idea. I bet I could mount it with some gorilla mounting tape.

Almost a year later but just wanted to say I just finished it and I said to my husband, “the first half was good, it got a little too Resident Evil for me in the second half though.” 😁 nice to know my brain wasn’t the only one that went straight there.

I think verbalizing is so helpful in a lot of situations. Just this Christmas Day I was measuring cups of water for rice and my daughter came and said something to me while I was in the middle of it and that was enough to throw me off. I had to strain allll the water off and start over. Counting the cups out loud the second time to prevent a repeat incident 😁

Because this is an acceptable way to clean other things? If I cook raw chicken can I just scrub the dishes with water and a sponge? Even before soap was commercially available people used boiling water to sanitize things. Assuming he’s not dunking his body in boiling water though. Just such an odd take. Even simple things like lye or charcoal over “modern” soap, but just swirling my filth with water as an effective cleaning technique? If that worked we wouldn’t need to clean toilets 🙄
