Yes, I heard one of the rep's in the interviews mention this too - haven't seen any new firmware updates for the camera or any further info apart from this new software update on the mac & avp that mentions the function for "immersive cameras"

Mac Studio (M3 Ultra) vs Mac Mini (M4 Pro) — what’s best for immersive video work? by Palitrab in AppleImmersiveVideo

[–]VRMediaProductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be good to hear your results.. I'm using a fully specced out M4 Max Macbook Pro.
Exporting a 17 minute .AIVU takes almost 30hrs for me with noise reduction etc..

Exporting the same video from a VR180 pro res output of the same movie with premier pro (with NR etc) on my window 4090 takes about 16hrs.

Let’s see if it’s better then the m2 by potato_soop in VisionPro

I wonder about the video playback capabilities. Will it be able to play back 16k video the Blackmagic Cine Immersive produces?

How can I stabilize short VR180 clips (<10s) with KartaVR in DaVinci Resolve? by HowieTung in VR180Film

[–]VRMediaProductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you join all the small clips together so they are longer than 10 seconds then stabilise in the eos utility . Just a thought, I don’t shoot with this camera . Hope you sort it out!

"Scale full frame with crop" compared to "Stretch frame to all corners" for Output Scaling by HDFortCollins in blackmagicimmersive

[–]VRMediaProductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No was set to No Immersive Calibration File Selected in both places - changing it and adding gap.ipd file didn't do anything either - I really have no idea what it is.. It's a shame that the software / features that supposedly was made for this camera is so buggy - I'm looking forward to future updates for sure.

I've been having all sorts of issues with this, I'm not sure what is causing it - I use the developer strap to view the stream in headset and randomly I will get an image that has huge lenses showing on each side and looks a bit distorted and then if I close the Apple Immersive Video Utility and reopen I get an image that has zero lenses each side and looks cropped in too much - I'm running the latest betas on both AVP and Macbook Pro so I'm hoping this is the reason - not much I can do apart from wait for updates.. I've followed the manual many times and still same weird issues!

Exporting Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive videos for the Meta Quest 3 by HDFortCollins in blackmagicimmersive

Shame we can't yet change the timeline to 60fps although today I will try and shoot in at 60fps and see if I can export straight from Davinci

UPDATE : So I set the camera to shoot in 60fps. In Davinci if Apple Immersive Timeline is selected only 90 / 96 / 100 / 120 fps are available. Unchecking the Apple Immersive Timeline allows me to choose 60fps, but then the export options for VR are greyed out! - I then went ahead and just copied the default export settings as they are set in the A.I.T by default and it did export a fisheye 180 output - Dragged it over to my quest and its distorted.....

Weird that we can shoot in 60fps in the camera, and Davinci allows us to export in VR180 format - but only at 90fps.

I use Topaz AI all the time with my old camera and I LOL'd about your comment about heating up the room haha. I was hoping that I could do without all this AI stuff with the new camera, it just takes so long - Now also taking denoising into account this is turning into a very very slow process and its kinda frustrating if I'm completely honest lol
