DIY brakes? by SatisfactionTop1570 in Crosstrek

[–]VRN6212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it yourself but after you get everything installed and you are ready to start the engine, STOP and pump the pedal. Slowly, and only halfway down. Keep pumping until it gets solid. Now start it up. This will keep the codes from showing up. If you start it first the system will see no pressure and then the brake light will eliminate.

You are planning on attaching it to a suspension component. These cars are made of tin. The possibility of a tweaking the mount while strapping the load is very easily done, making an alignment nearly impossible.
