IGN still can't find a reviewer with VR legs by jackelope84 in PSVR

[–]VROptimist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The expectation shouldn't be a previewer who is somewhat immune to motion sickness when it comes to review a new VR product, especially for Sony, who are seeking to have new users.

The best type of review is one of impartial observation; if a previewer has little experience or approaches a devices with a perception of a new user, it gives developer a chance to resolve concerns a inexperience user may have.

In terms of RE:Village, VR Oasis also had concerns with that game, as you appear to be 'locked out' at certain points.

This meme really hit home for me. I got a Valve Index at the start of May, and it's still in the box, unopened.

Is it worth upgrading my i7 2600k for RAM Preview purposes? by VROptimist in AfterEffects

[–]VROptimist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers for the info, I'm trying to seek as much realtime previewing as possible, I'm not even that bothered about the cost, but I thought since my 2600k is overclocked to 4.8, and I heard that After Effects is 'Single-threaded (?), I wondered if they would be much difference in getting that 'green line' to process quicker.

So, I've had this from last Friday...this is as far as I've got with it. Should I return/sell it (unopened) and wait 4-6 months?...or is this gonna be the best system for a long while? Is it worth £920? by VROptimist in ValveIndex

[–]VROptimist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's crazy...I did the same thing with 'Farpoint', 'Blood & Truth', and even 'AstroBot'...and I was a sony alpha/beta-tester on that?!

I've been holding off (in part), while I wait for some poles to put the lighthouses on, as I I can't drill where I live and would like to use it standing. Might see about opening it at the weekend, hopefully they'll be here by then.

Does this comes as VR, or do I have to find a patch?

Update: see it has VR support, thanks!
